Title: I Thought We Were Friends

Description: Theta Sigma and Koschei were best friends. What made them enemies?

Theta, dressed in his traditional red robes, ran his fingers through his hair in thought. He should go apologize. He should go tell his best friend that he didn't mean what he had said and they could go running around in the woods like children again. Theta knew that wouldn't happen. He had lost his one true friend.
Three hours earlier
"You always think you're in control of everything, don't you?", Theta had said.
"Unfortunately, as much as I'd like to be, I am not. Do you mind telling me what in the name of Rassilion you brought me here for?", Koschei questioned.
Theta suddenly stopped next to a tree and Koschei looked at him as if he were questioning his friends sanity. Then again when wasn't he giving Theta that look.
"You drug me out here to see a tree?", Koschei said lamely.
"No not a tree. I wanted to say goodbye.", Theta sighed. He had dreaded this moment for weeks. He couldn't take Koschei with him though. He was already suspected of stealing a Tardis. If Koschei went with him and they were caught he would be no better off than Theta.
"That's a Tardis isn't it? Why are you saying goodbye?", Koschei questioned with a look of confusion on his face.
"Yes it is a Tardis." Theta was about to continue but he was interrupted.
"Then why are you saying goodbye. I am going with you right?", Koschei was staring at Theta, waiting for him to answer, but he was met with silence. "You are just going to leave me here. I thought we were friends Theta!"
"We are Koschei. Just let me ex-"
"Alright explain why you are leaving me."
"I- I don't want to- well-... I am already going to get in trouble if I get caught, if you go with me they will not only banish me, bu you too. I'm sorry Kosch."
"Do I look like I care about getting banished?", he shouted, enraged that Theta, his best friend, would leave him.
"Koschei, just listen for a moment, I won't be gone forever-", he was cut off again.
"I don't care anymore. Just go off in your stupid Tardis alone.", he stormed off leaving Theta alone with his Tardis. For a moment Koschei thought that he had overreacted but he reminded himself, I am The Master now. And besides, his dear Doctor had started it anyways. Why should he apologize?
Four hours later
Theta, still walking, still thinking about apologizing, and still telling himself that he would come back and apologize someday. He turned and tried to rid himself of these thoughts. It was no use to chase after Koschei so he headed back to his Tardis. He stepped into the doorway and marvelled at its beauty. The high ceilings and the bright glow that came from the center console were like art to Theta. He set the coordinates for somewhere on Earth and set off on his adventure.
Note: I guess this was angsty. I hope there is someone out there who likes this. I might upload a second chapter about The Doctor returning to Gallifrey. Any reviews will be accepted with happiness.
