Jay is having a normal day, working on his latest invention when Edna tells him to clean up his room. He does, but when he picks something up, he finds another fear both he and his father are terrified of. What could it be?

Jay's Greatest Fear 2

AN: This is a fear a lot of us can relate to. :)

After the most embarrassing incident, or as Zane would have said it, faux pas*, Jay decided to quit freaking out over minor things like the germ problem, but little does he know that his next fear will reveal itself soon. The next morning he is sorting through piles of junk, searching for a few parts to complete his invention, and Edna calls him,

"Jay!"

"Yeah?" he calls back.

"Get in here and clean up your room. How many times have I told you to do that?"

"I'm coming!" Jay sighs, setting down a gear and heading to his room. When he enters he sees a major mess consisting mostly of tools, video games, and guidebooks. He begins tidying things up neatly, and all goes well until he picks up a small gear in the back of the room, next to his bookshelf. Underneath it is a brown insect about the size of his thumb, a roach. It starts running towards the door as Jay screams and jumps onto his desk. "Mom! Dad!"

"What is it son?" Ed asks from the kitchen, setting down a fresh cup of coffee and ambling to Jay's room, which is right next to it.

"Roach!" his son cries out.

"Roach!" Edna exclaims, shoving out of her chair and grabbing a room while Jay and Ed bolt past her, the former knocking into the coffee cup. The brown liquid spills on both of them, but they don't bother even getting annoyed and keep running to the door of the trailer.

"One of you two, help me!" Edna shouts while whacking the broom at the little insect.

"You go Dad," Jay gives Ed a nudge.

"You do it son. I've had a lot more roaches in life to deal with than you," Ed shoves his boy forward.

"Jay, come over here!" Edna shouts again as she knock the broom into a porcelain cup, shattering it on the floor.

"Ugh," Jay mutters under his breath and rushes over, but screeches at the sight of the ghastly bug.

"I can't do it!" he screams and turns to run, but slips, landing on the tile, "Yikes!" Jay puts his hands down and quickly gets up while his mom sets the broom down; then hugs her son.

"Great job, son!" Edna says.

"W-what?" Jay stammers.

"You killed the roach!" she exclaims as she lets go of him and points down at his shoe. He lift his foot up and underneath it…

"Gross!" Jay yells.
