Disclaimer: I am not Rick Riordan. I do not own Percy Jackson. I don't own anything you recognize. Enjoy!
Author's Note: So this is just a very short one-shot that randomly came to me. Hope you enjoy it!
CHAPTER 1:
Calypso.
I never felt this way before. About anybody. Ever. This feels nothing at all like my previous meaningless crushes, or even when I thought I liked Hazel. It was nothing like the love I feel for Calypso right now.
Calypso.
My heart skips a beat everytime I hear her name.
I love her name. It's so beautiful, like her.
Her brown, almond shaped eyes, glistening with tears as I left, were burned into my memory.
Her beautiful cinnamon hair braided down the right side of her head.
Her gorgeous smile.
The feeling of her lips on mine.
She tasted like strawberries.
She smelled like cinnamon…
"LEO!" Piper shouted. I jolted up.
"WHERE'S THE FIRE?" I yelled.
"There's no fire," Jason assured me. I looked around. Right, we were currently at dinner. There was probably yet another important conversation I missed because thoughts of Calypso had consumed me once again.
"Cinnamon," Percy said randomly. I froze. Was he on to me?
"Leo," he said, "your plate is covered in cinnamon."
Curse these magical plates.
I looked down to see a small mountain of cinnamon on my plate.
"Oh," I stated, trying to think of an excuse, "it's...good!" I picked up my spoon and dug it into the mound of cinnamon, popping a spoonful of the light brown spice into my mouth. I coughed and sputtered at the bitterness.
"See?" I managed to choke out, "good!"
I chugged down my glass of water.
"Ok…" Annabeth interrupted my nearly dying from excessive cinnamon intake, giving me a strange look, "let's continue." I nodded, and thought of strawberries, which immediately appeared beside the cinnamon mountain. I carefully picked one up and sprinkled some of the cinnamon on it.
I inhaled the unique scent of my creation.
Calypso.
~THE END~
So I just reread Mark of Athena (for the billionth time, yes) and that may have influenced this very short little one-shot. May have. Hope you enjoyed it!
I appreciate constructive criticism (so I can become a better writer!) but no flames, please. (Unless you're Leo Valdez. That's an exception.)
R&R!
