AN: This is just a cutesy little story I'm using as an outlet whenever college gets too unbearable. For what it's worth, Sierra and Ramin are my always cast for Phantom. I don't own anything except this fic, and it's hopefully going to be both ridiculous and emotional. Skye xx
She had to get away from him. She just had to. She had dreams for gods sake, she was going to Stanford and change the world; there were going to be be French cafes and ruined castles and libraries and... something more than this.
J.D wasn't a bad guy. Well, yes he was, but he was hers at least. And yet recently he had gotten worse, gone from a hot-smouldering-eyed-messy-hair-byronic-hero kind of dangerous to straight up out of control, and as much as she loved him it was getting harder and harder just to sleep at night. And worse? He was planning something.
Heather's death was fine really, it troubled her a lot less than it probably should have, and killing the jocks was just glorifed community service. She had drawn a line under all that though, left her Bonnie and Clyde days in the dust just like her days as one of the populars, there was going to be no more death. Could she ever undo what she did? Of course not, and she wasn't sure she wanted to, but whatever J.D had cooked up was on another level entirely and she couldn't handle it.
Nope. She was out. He was toxic and manipulative and gorgeous and witty and damaged and kind and evil and she was the kind of textbook second wave feminist who should know better. There had to be a point of no return, and she was getting worryingly close. There was no other choice, she needed a break even if it killed her. Literally.
Veronica shuddered and shouldered her way through the hallway, glancing around to make sure he wasn't following her. In her hands were the transfer papers for some tiny highschool in Paris, nowhere special but a good place to vanish for a term or two. Everything was paid for, everything was set, she'd be able to clear her head and catch up on the work she'd missed while murder had taken priority.
Oh yeah.. it was gonna be beautiful.
