AN- My muses went on the fritz recently and I kinda freaked out. To remedy my problem, I wrote fluff. It worked and now I feel MUCH better. I might or might not incorporate this into SM, but we'll see.
Comfort
The dark cloaks and embraces Arcee. Sitting in her berth room, she shrugs her shoulders up, curling in on herself as dark thoughts litter her mind like wind-fallen leaves. A sigh escapes as she grieves in silence. Her door opens while quiet pede falls announce the arrival of a mech. Arms suddenly encircle her small frame as an engine revs and settles into a steady pace and she is lifted into her comforters lap. Small hiccupping sobs escape as she finally gives into the emotions that have plagued her for the past few days.
"There, there dearspark," the mech whispers into her audio. "I just finished speaking with Silas. He is stable and will survive. There is now need to cry; he is safe." Yet she continues to weep, helm buried into his chest right over his scarlet sigil. Long talons stroke and caress her sensitive winglets as her sobs slowly quiet down to mere hiccups then cease altogether. A steadying breath escapes as she snuggles into his safe embrace.
"I thought I had lost him. All I could think about was what his mom would do if I did not come back with him. I didn't want to think about it. It as been horrible lately, but especially these past few days; they have been the worst." Silence for a few seconds then, "he would have been the third partner I have lost. He has come so close to dying so many times it scares me. First it almost happened with my Airachnid, then on Cybertron and now here again."
The comforting arms squeeze her a little tighter as he rests his helm on hers. A few minutes later, she is in recharge, and he lays her gently down on her berth. About to walk away, the sleepy femme grabs his servo. "Stay with me please," she murmurs, making him splutter awkwardly for a few seconds, then give in when he saw her luminous optics looking at him pleadingly. Sighing, he lays next her as she snuggles into him.
"Thanks Starscream," she murmurs before dropping into recharge. Starscream smiles in contentment before following her.
