Not So Funny or Sonny!

"Funny…Did you hear that…Funny, Yeah, the guy said honey…You're a funny girl, That's me I just keep them, In stitches dug out in half…And though I may be all wrong for the guy…" I sang into the mike, hoping that he would catch on to what I meant. I just found out that Chad was in love with me. But I didn't love him back. I loved my boyfriend Sam.

I'm good for a laugh I guess it's not funny Live is far from sunny…" I was not happy right now; I guess I am far from being my usual sunny self, "When the love is over!"

The stopped playing and the crowd seemed so sad. I stepped off stage and my phone started to moo. It was probably Chad… no its Sam. I smiled. His contact photo was me and him kissing in the rain. I could wait to see him on our date tonight. It was our six month anniversary. I got him a signed football by his favorite player. I picked up the phone.

"Hey Sweetie, did you like the song?" I asked hopeful.

"No… I didn't! You could have told me you wanted to break up! I would have understood."
"Wait I don't want to break up!"

"But…" He hesitated, "I do…"

"Why?" I said almost in tears.

"I've found someone else."

"It's Laurel, isn't it?"

"Um…"

"Don't you ever speak to me again you jerk!"

"Sonny wait…" He didn't get to finish before I hung up. How could he do this to me. I ran to my dressing room and started to sob into my pillow. I got up and threw his present down the hallway. I threw pretty hard.

"OW!" Someone screamed. I ran down the hall and saw Chad laying on the ground holding his head with his hands.

"Oh my gosh… are you okay Chad?"

"I'm fine but, Sonny you threw really hard."

"I grew up with a family of all boys. I had to learn to play football to survive."

"Oh… why are you crying?" he questioned getting up and holding my hand.

"Um… Sam, my boyfriend… well ex-, heard me sing tonight and thought that I was singing about us. He thought I wanted to break up and I told him I didn't. He sounded disappointed. He told me that he wanted to break up and that he had found out someone else." I started to cry again. He pulled me into his chest and he let me cry. We found my way to my dressing room because we started to make a scene.

"Do you want me to go kick his ass?"

"No but I hope he does get what he deserves."

"You know that he did you a favor…"

"How is breaking my heart a favor, Chad?"

"Cause that means that you can go out with me and not that cheating jerk… well I'm still a jerk but at least I don't cheat."

I laughed.

"You're not a jerk!" I told him hugging him tighter.

"Yes I am… you tell me that all the time." He said teasing me.

"I'm kidding… besides I don't kiss jerks" I leaned in and I kissed him. Sparks flew and I was so glad that Sam found someone else because I did to. Chad was the one for me. I pulled away.

"I love you, Sonny."

"I love you too, Chad."

"What is going on!" We turned and there stood…
