A/N:
Yes, Arching Light: Electricity is still in the works. I'm just on a WWE kick again for the first time in forever pretty much because I got introduced to these two and have gone over every match to get more of a fix. The divas division is actually GOOD again! I stopped watching wrestling for the longest time until now, so forgive me if I get things wrong. On with the fic. WARNING: Femslash overtones. A series of drabbles, all AJ/Kaitlyn related.
01. Fractures
–
After everything, only fractures remained.
Daniel Bryan. John Cena. Kane. CM Punk. Dolph Ziggler. One by one, they had taken their toll. Left her broken and in turn, allowed her to break the person she once called her best friend.
Maybe more, once. It didn't matter now.
It felt like ash in her mouth a little.
Possibilities. What might have been.
No use dwelling, now. What was done was done.
She had something better than possibilities. She had a certainty.
The divas title. What she had wanted most of her life. In her hands now, or on her shoulder.
Was it worth it?
AJ the competitor was certain. AJ the human, the friend, wasn't sure.
It wasn't long before the Champion drowned out the voice of the friend.
Of course it was worth it, she scoffed.
She was on top.
Untouchable.
She would never be fractured again.
