Author's Note: So I'm having a bit of a mind block for Chasing Cara/Clearing Chase... So I thought I'd try something new. This is a taster of Explaining Lottie. Lottie is a part of a separate universe to Sky/Phoenix/Diamond/Crystal and my three other girls, so all the brothers have new soulfinders.
Please let me know what you think, and let me know whether I should continue this. Yay or nay? Or should I go back to the others?
How would you explain me? How would you explain my life? How would you explain the horror that I've been through?
Reading what I had just typed, I tapped my fingers nervously on the desk beside the keyboard, thinking about what I would write next. "I have no idea why I'm doing this." I muttered, hands slamming sharply into the polished wood, taking my frustration out. I expected the "sh"s that I received, and I met every single person's look with a glare. "This isn't worth the hassle." Again, I was talking to myself. Closing the document without saving before I logged off, I pushed the chair back and glanced around the room.
The library. A place full of books, full of knowledge, and the quietest place I have ever been in. I didn't like it. Swinging up my back from the floor, I strutted out of the room, my six-inch heels clicking and clacking on the shiny floor. Barely looking at the librarian that sat in front of a computer, I wordlessly passed out of the library and into the street beyond. School is so not worth my time. I have no idea why I wanted to go back in the first place.
There I paused, lowering my black sunglasses and making sure to check myself out in the window of the shop opposite the road. The stiletto heels, the tight black skirt, the blouse that I had unbuttoned enough to show some cleavage, and I was definitely on the bustier and curvier side of a woman. Bright red lipstick coated my lips, and my hazel eyes had been dramatically against a smoky base. Rustling my wavy brown hair so that it would settle better, I approved of what I saw, and then returned the glasses to their earlier place.
Making sure to add a little sway into my hips as I walked, I scanned the area for any threats, anyone who would make anything I do a little more difficult than what it was. My gaze crossed several people, though none worth remembering. At one point it settled on an awkward dark-haired cop, because I always make sure that I keep an eye on that sort, though he was soon dismissed. He was no one, not worth my time. Further on there was a couple of teenage boys, and a girl who looked like they were flirting.
A beep pulled me away from watching the trio, and I scrambled around in my bag for my phone. Plaza Hotel. 8pm. Don't be late.
Work calls.
