Kingdom Hearts, Slephie+Kairi & what feels like forever
.

.

The tide already reaches her toes and the sun is dipping into the sea as Selphie watches.
Selphie is waiting, she has for what feels like a long time.
It feels like forever since Kairi said she would be down at the beach, on the old child's island, sending a boy-who-doesn't-exist a letter he will never read. Selphie is an optimist, but she just knows a hopeless case when she sees one, and that is what Kairi is to her, when she ran to Kids Island—where there a fleeting memories—and where she last saw her.
It has been three days since she's last seen Kairi. Selphie waits on the beach of the Main Island—long since giving up her search on the play islands—and staring at nothing.
Selphie is waiting; she knows her Princess will come. She just knows it because Kairi was always like that—she was always the type to come back, no matter what (because she promised she would never leave).
Selphie waits for what feels like forever.

author's note:
Selphie is off. Like, really off (as I highly doubt she would react so...emo-y in the game). Forgive me?
Also, I'm new.
