A/N: Because Nameless/Original shipping is the love of my life.
The first time Green goes up to see Red, it's awkward. Red doesn't speak, not even to his pokemons. His eyes are cold and piercing. Green still comes back the week after, and the week after this one.
It gets better every week.
The first time they kiss it's hot and messy, all teeth and tongue, and definitely not how it seems to be in movies — in Green's opinion that is, Red probably hasn't seen a movie in the last three years.
They don't talk about it again for the next two weeks.
This Sunday, Green comes to visit as usual and decides to spend the night because, fuck, he feels lonely in his little apartment, and it has nothing to do with that kiss from two weeks ago.
His night is filled with nightmares and he wakes up to lips kissing away his tears. He wants to ignore the warmth that pools in his chest, but there is a certain amount of denying he can tolerate before he just can't take it anymore and, yeah, it feels good to be in Red's arms.
The next weeks he spends much more time to Mount Silver — to the exasperation of the League and all the challengers — telling Red about the things he missed, kissing lazily, just sleeping next to each other.
The first time Red knocks on Green's doors, he can't help but chuckle when he sees the surprise on his face. However, when Green grasps his wrist and kisses him on his doorstep like there is no tomorrow, it's his time to be surprised.
They spend the day on the couch watching stupid movies, curled around each other. Green only leaves Red's side to open to the pizza man.
Red goes back to the mountain the next day, but not without promising to come back.
They make a deal : every two weeks Green goes to the mountain, and every other week, Red comes down.
They fall into a pleasant routine until Soul, the Johto Champion, decides to challenge Red and to every one surprise, wins.
Green finds him sitting on the floor in the doorway. Red gazes up at him with tired eyes and opens his mouth to say his first words in at least four years.
"I lost."
The words are hollow and Red seems so lost. Green understands that the brunette doesn't know what to do now.
Green kneels before him and takes his hands in his own. With tenderness, he kisses Red, deep and slow.
A gasp makes them separate.
Oh well, apparently they managed to scar Green's neighbor for life. He hates the old hag anyway, he can't say he regrets it.
"Come live with me," he says to Red. The brunette nods and there is a spark in his crimson eyes that makes him fall for Red all over again.
He wakes up before Red. He spends the next ten minutes lightly tracing Red's soft features with his fingertips. When he caresses his thin lips and feels a kiss on his fingers, he smiles and brushes the black bangs off Red's forehead. Red watches him with sleepy eyes as he gets out of bed, and Green hopes (maybe childishly) that all his mornings will be like that.
The first time they have sex, Red is over him, around him, hot and welcoming. His head is thrown back, his throat exposed, and every time a car passes and lights the room, Green can't help but think he's never seen someone more beautiful. Red's crimson eyes shine in the darkness, filled with lust, love and pleasure. But what really makes it all perfect are the occasional breathy and almost inaudible mentions of Green's name.
The first time they go out together, Red really doesn't expect Green to grasp his hand and never let it go. Neither does he expects Green to present him as his boyfriend. Red can finally says that he is truly happy.
He gives a wide smile to his boyfriend, and Green is sure he will never regret any of this.
Even when Blue walks up on them having sex on the couch. Why did he give her a key again?
