"Hey Yug check this out on TV."
Yugi looked up from his card game with Tristan to look at the news report.
The newscaster was standing in front of the site of one of a chain of recent break ins. The victim was a scientist named Professor Tahashi he was working on a new virtual Duel Monsters world. "All that appears to be stolen are some of the proffesors notes on virtual reality. Police say they have a suspect but are not releasing any names due to lack of evidence. This is..."
"Mai? When did she become a newsperson?" exclaimed Tristan
"I don't know." responded Yugi, "but it must have been pretty recent."
Just then Tea walked in "Hey did you guys just see on the news."
"Yeah Mai's was lookin hot as a new news anchor."
Tea sighed. "I meant the proffesor's house being broken into. It's odd, no robberies since Marrick was destroyed but all of a sudden this."
"What, are you saying Marrick had something to do with this."
"No there's just something not right about this. I mean all of the break-ins have been at a scientist's house right."
"Right.'
"They've all been working on a virtual Duel Monsters world right. Now, I've seen too many weird things to just let this pass as some ordinary criminal."
Tristan spoke up again. "She's right you guys, it's just to big of a coincidence. Maybe we should go check it out. It cant hurt to snoop around."
"Sure let's go," said Yugi "i'll get my duel disk, I might meet a willing duelist on the way."
"My Lord, Keith is here to see you."
"Send him in."
"Yes sir."
Keith walked into the room and looked around. He couldn't believe he was in this man's presence. He would finally get to see his master in person. "Sir, I got the Proffessor notes."
The shadowy figure was silent for a moment then he finally spoke. "Let me see them."
"Sure." said Keith, he handed the notes over to the man. When the stranger's hand touched the paper Keith felt a surge of fear go through his body.
The stranger took a few minutes to read over the notes and than exclaimed "This is good, this is very good. You have pleased me, and for that you will be rewarded. But first there is something else I need you to do for me."
"Name it."
"I need you to take care of Yugi and his friends they are starting to catch on to me."
"As you wish Master Marrick."
Yugi knocked on the door of the scientist's house. "Proffessor Tahashi are you there?"
The door opened revealing a young man about in his thirty's. "Ah, a duelist come in."
He motioned for them to come in. "Have a seat. What brings you here?"
"Well," replied Tea "we came to see if you were all right after the robbery."
"Oh, well yes I'm fine. I'm actually quite glad you came by you see the thieves left in such a hurry they forgot one crucial sheet of notes. They will have a very difficult time figuring it out without it."
"That's good isn't it."
"Well yes and no. It's good that they don't have it but it's also bad because they may come back for it. That's why I'm so happy to see you. I was going to see if I could get you to hold on to it for me."
"Sure, by the way did you get a look at the thieves."
"No, sorry, I wasn't home."
"Ok, that's fine."
As they left Joey turned and saw something on the window. A bandana that look liked the American flag. "Hey Yug look at this."
"Oh no Bandit Keith."
