As you sleep next to me
I can't help but stare
At the beauty you don't see

I keep stealing glances
Because when you're awake
You have up a wall of defenses
When you're sleeping I know
That you drop your defenses
By the way that you breath
And how your body relaxes
Sometimes I wonder
What goes through you mind
And the things that you dream
When your body's next to mine
Often at night
When my body touches your's
You put your hand on my chest
And moan incoherant words
Sometimes you whimper
Sometimes you cry
And when I whisper your name
I see a faint little smile
I often find myself wondering
Why you hide your gentle side
Why you hide behind sarcasm
And tell little lies
While you're asleep I can see you
For who you truely are
You're quite a special woman
You shine as bright as a star
