No, I don't own Johnny nor Squee. I wish, They're Jhonen's characters.
The lyrics aren't mine either. They're property of Mark Hoppus and (+44)
"Lilian"The place I used to live made me feel like a tourist.
I couldn't co-exist with the cold and suspicious.
When the last remaining light was starting to filter,
The town wasn't the way he remembered it… What was once light now darkened by shadows. Fields of green replaced with dead roots and grass. Everything was quiet. The young man walked around the streets, rubbing his hands on his arms for warmth. His black hair flopped in his eyes, which he then tried to blow out of the way. It was as if he wasn't existing. No one noticed he was back
It seemed the perfect time to step into the future.
'It isn't the same, but it's still home, Todd,' he thought, slowly shuffling down the streets.
I left it all behind in the dead of last winter.
I left it all behind, but the question still lingers.
Next door to his old home, a shack leaned, even more worn then the way he had left it. The windows were shattered, and the lights were now flickering. Todd almost wept at the sight, but knew he couldn't change this. He had been the one to leave. However, he didn't know why he did…. It just, happened.
So long forgotten friends. No you don't know the difference,
Between love and submission, and I'm not that obedient.
He slowly opened the door to the neighboring house, hoping that his old companion was there. It had been forever since he had seen Johnny, and it was rumored that he was gone for good. Maybe, it was that which made him left. He always felt compassion for the man, yet Johnny never really understood.
Your heart is a grave to be perfectly honest.
Your mouth's a smoking gun.
Johnny was a man always jumping to conclusions, this Todd knew, however, he never expected this. Johnny was lying face down on the floor, rotting, ripped flesh and dried blood caked about his face.
And you smile while twisting the knife in my stomach,
Until everything is gone.
Todd felt something inside of him die that moment. Like something ripping out his heart. His stomach turned, Todd knew he was going to be sick. Yet, there oddly was a smile on the corpse's face.
Take all you can from me.
I've got weak constitution.
I'm led so easily, so easily.
It was in that moment he realized why he left. He knelt beside the body, beginning to cry.
And she's trying to sleep it off with her head on my shoulder.
And I'm trying to keep it out of my thoughts when I hold her.
Johnny C. was gone for good, some may say. Todd held the body in his arms, and sobbed over the man. He hoped deep inside that this was all a dream. Johnny was here dead before him, but he couldn't believe it.
He wouldn't believe it.
