"How is Chimchar doing, Nurse Joy?" I heard someone ask in the waiting area.

"She is doing much better. Do you know what happened to her?"

"No, we found her like that."

"Well, it's trainers like you three that give the rest a good name. I'll head to the back room to bring Chimchar out here." She walked to the back room and picked me up. She picked me up and placed me on a wheeling cart. She rolled the cart out into the waiting area where there were four humans waiting at the front counter a few other people loitering around. I was picked up off of the rolling cart and placed on the counter in front of the four teenagers.

The first one was male; he had black hair that looked like it hadn't been brushed. He was wearing a light blue t-shirt and a name tag that said, "Hello my name is Jack." The other male had brown hair, which was kept neatly in place. He was dressed in a dark blue long sleeve with a black backpack at his side. He was wearing a baseball cap that said "Kaine." I looked over at the other two females. One was dressed in a light pink t-shirt with a jacket on top. On the back of her jacket was "Jayne." The fourth and final one stood out the most to me. She was dressed in a light purple jacket with a dark purple shirt on underneath it, she had a purple over the shoulder bag, a purple belt to hold her pokeballs, and she had a necklace in the shape of a crescent moon.

"What's with these people" I said knowing full well that they couldn't understand me. "Can they not remember who they are?" The purple one grabbed me under the arms and lifted me up. She brought me outside with the other three humans following us. She set me down a rock and all four of them watched me.

"Okay this is getting creepy! What do you want?" I asked them making sure to add a sarcastic tone to my voice. Even though they couldn't understand exactly what I was saying, they could certainly hear the difference in my tone.

"To team up with you." The one dressed in purple said.

"You can understand me?" I asked making sure to add a hint of disbelief to my tone.

"Course, I can understand all Pokémon. By the way my name is Alisa."

"Can the others also talk to Pokémon?" I pointed to the others, realizing for the first time the confusion on their faces.

"No." She laughed. "I'm the only one who can, but they already know I can talk to Pokémon." She took a pokeball out from her belt and held it to me. "So do you want to be my partner?"

"I guess I can. I mean, it's not like I have anything more interesting to do." I tapped my hand to her pokeball and instantly went inside it, not knowing what the future would hold.
