Just a Nightmare
This is just a short post - Twilight fic.
A slight wind was blowing on the top of the roof. She looked around, seeing Gibbs, Kate and Tony standing there. Kate looked a bit shocked and her hand stroked the bulletproof vest that she was wearing. She smiled weakly.
"You did good." Tony said, looking at her, smiling.
"For once…DiNozzo's right."
"Wow, I thought I'd die before I got a compliment from you…" Kate smiled.
The sound of a bullet echoed through the air. Kate Todd was lying on the ground, her eyes still open. The small bullet wound in her forhead bled, and the red liquid was trickling down the side of her face.
Her own scream woke her up.
Abby felt the hot tears running down her cheaks, and it took a while before she realised it was her own. She was breathing fastly, the images of the dream still fresh in her mind. Slowly, she realised that it had been a nightmare.
She checked the clock. It said 03:24. Abby slowly wiped the tears off her cheaks and put her head back on the pillow. Closing her eyes, she tried to calm her fears. "It was just a nightmare" she thought, trying to reassure herself before falling back to sleep.
"Just a nightmare."
I know it's short, but I'd still like some reviews :)
