Part 3: A Step Back Into Wonderland
Sora: Glad that's ever, I wonder what Xkuri is after?
Riku: Beats me, but like any other opponent, we're going to have to bring him down!
Sora: Yea…
Sora gazed at the ground and sat on a small wall.
Sora: You know Riku; I think this will become your story.
Familiar voice: Hey Sora! Need a lift?
Cid came down in a gummi ship and picked Sora and the others up. They beamed off into space and began search for familiar grounds.
Cid: I don't know how any of this happened but I awoke in traverse town and remembered I had stored another backup gummi ship in the third district. When I had went to search for it, some pieces and been disassembled from it. Sorry guys, there isn't going to be any warping anytime soon.
Sora: That's all right; I'm looking forward to saying hi to a few old friends.
They drove continuously until finally reaching a world, Wonderland. Cid lowered into the main room and dropped Sora and Riku off.
Sora: Donald? Goofy? Aren't you guys going to go too?
Donald: No, we're going to sit this journey out, we think you and Riku can handle things well enough.
Riku: Suit yourself. Sora lets go!
Riku and Sora had set foot forward only to find themselves caught in one of Cheshire Cat's trials. Cheshire Cat's appearance was mildly frightening. His body was covered in blood and his color was a dull grey. Parts of his body looked decayed and worn.
Cheshire Cat: What do we have here? It appears our Wonderland heroes have returned. What business do you seek here this time?
Sora: We're just passing through and felt ourselves wanting to greet old friends, and what happened to Wonderland?
Cheshire Cat: Things happen when protectors go away; Wonderland has fallen into the hands of the mighty Queen of Hearts.
Wonderland had become a very gloomy, putrid place in Sora's absence. Hope had seemed to be lost as the innocent were worked to the bone.
Sora: What about Alice? Did she make it home alright?
Cheshire Cat: Alice is one of those few who still have hope in defeating the mighty Queen of Hearts. Step forward, join Alice in the chamber of fate.
Sora and Riku stepped forward into the chamber of fate, a torturous prison, where they reunited with Alice, who was hanging high above in chains. Her body was covered in blood from her own wounds. The sheded blood spelt a message above her, "Those who oppose, suffer unto my wrath!" For so much blood to be shed, Alice was nearing death. Her body turned cold and her heart began to beat slower.
Sora: Alice!
Alice snapped out of her trance to see Sora and Riku gazing up at her.
Alice: Sora…
Sora: Don't say a word! Heal!
Sora raised his weapon to cast a healing essence upon Alice, only to be shocked in confusion. In transferring world and such commotion, Sora had forgot spells he had learned over time.
Sora: Damn! Riku, it looks like we're going to have to save her another way.
Sora and Riku leaped into the air but soon realized they could not reach Alice in a leap alone. Riku signaled Sora by putting his hand out. Sora stepped on it and gave a tremendous leap. He darted through the air, finding himself right beneath Alice. He cut through the chains with all his strength without harming Alice in the slightest way. Alice fell swiftly into Riku's grasp as Sora landed right after.
Sora: Lets take her back to the ship, we have to hurry!
