Beep! Beep! Beep!

I woke up and looked to my clock; 6 AM it read. Sighing I lifted myself from my bed. My feet were meet with the cold wooden floor of my room. I dragged myself to the bathroom for a much needed shower. I turned on the shower and it was perfectly scolding.

After my shower, I walked to my closet to look for an outfit for the day. I had to look good because it was my first day at Republic City High School. I looked for about 10 minutes before finding the perfect outfit. I got dressed quickly, then went to look in the mirror. I had on a pair of dark wash True Religion super skinny jeans, along with my favorite VON VONNI tube top. It was the perfect shade of sky blue and showed off my flat, toned stomach, as well as my belly button ring. It was a silver dream catcher with five beads in the middle that were the same color as my shirt. I also had on my light brown Madden Girl Gamer combat boots and to top it all off I had on my locket that my mom and dad gave me before I left the South Pole.I wore it with almost everything. I made me feel safe, like my parents were still with me even though the were thousands of miles away.

When I finished looking myself over, I grabbed my STEVE MADDEN ffringe bag filled with new school supplies that Pema bought and began making my way to the kitchen. As I walked into the kitchen, the wonderful aroma of fried eggs hit my nose. i walked in to see a very pregnant Pema cooking.

"Pema you should be resting," I said.

She turned to me with a smile. "I know, but I wanted to make you breakfast on your first day of school." Then turning her attention back to the eggs, she began to manuver them onto a plate. As she handed them to me I pulled the pregnant woman into a hug.

"Thank you."

"Don't mention it Sweetie. Seriously, don't mention it. You know how much of a worry-wart Tenzin is," she laughed. "Now hurry and finish up with your breakfast; wouldn't want you to be late for school."

As we walked up to the big building I looked to Tenzin. He was serious as ever. "Why do I have to come here?" I asked.

"Because as the Avatar, not only must you be well trained in combat and bending, but you must be well educated as well. I was going to get you a private tutor like you had in the South Pole, but Pema insisted I let you go to public school. Her words were, 'She's a teenage girl and she needs to make friends.' I personally think that it will only distract you, but you know how these things go. One does not get into an argument with Pema and expect too with. Especially when shes pregnant."

I sighed as I looked at the school. Well, it couldn't be too bad. I looked over Tenzin again and he handed me a sheet of paper. "Here are your classes. Please try to behave. After school go directly home. I will be at a council meeting, but Pema and the kids should be home. Here are a few yuans for lunch. Have a good day." With that he was on his way, leaving me by myself.
