My tribute to Silas – may he rest in peace.
My mentor, my guardian, my saviour!
You gave me everything, and now I wish you hadn't.
All you have done has been in vain,
You could not change me,
I was meant to be alive and yet never live.
I am a ghost,
…And I have killed you!
The ghost, cries in the moonlight,
Head bent towards the earth,
Soil,
Sparkling with a newly fallen frost of tears,
A figure,
Crouched on his knees,
White and innocent against the black chasm of the sky
Blood,
Trickling down onto the ground,
A sacrifice, an offering, an apology,
And,
Drifting on the breeze,
A selfless prayer to the gods.
Please God, don't let him die,
Take my life, my love, and heal him!
Lucifer, please just listen,
Take me, take my heart, take my soul.
But spare him!
The prayers stop,
The tears no longer fall,
But curled up on the cross,
Lies an empty shell,
The ghost has parted,
And despite its actions,
Despite the pain it will endure for all eternity,
A punishment for all its sins,
It is free!
Safe in the knowledge that his mentor lives on.
A/N-sorry about the formatting, wasn't quite sure how to set it out, but this is for all those people that cried inside when Silas died (ha ha, a poet and I didn't even know it) Anyway please review, cos' I like reviews, and if you don't I will personally seek you out and kill you.
p.s I would like to dedicate this poem / thing / miscellaneous rubbish to ness.
