"Has the lockdown been called off?"
"If you can prove you're not Jonathan. "
"Ahem, sorry what?" He shows a blank expression, Clary figuring he hadn't heard and explained.
"We've figured a way to blow his cover from Valentine's journals. Jonathan can't tolerate Electrum. "
"Right, because of the demon blood. " Sebastian confirms.
"Valentine wrote that he'd scream in pain the second it touched his skin. It would burn straight through the bone. " Clary received a ball of electrum - it was solid, almost rock-like.
"If you did encounter your brother. What would you say to him?" She heard Sebastian's question and really thought.
Everyone around her has either been lost or taken or killed. Her friends. Her mother. Jace...so why was she thinking of running of with her brother? Probably because if she was in Jonathan's position she would try to be with her brother, no matter what it took. He was just misguided. And suffered through their father's cruel experiments.
"I would say that I don't blame him. And that if I could I would take him far away from Valentine and show him the life he should of had. "
"Alright. Let's do this. " She watches Sebastian hand extended out - palm open flat. She sets the electrum on his awaiting skin and her eyes widen as she sees the skin suddenly begin to burn and redden.
"Did you mean it, Clary?"
Sebastian orJonathan rather asked his sister. He saw tears straining down her cheeks with no words she nods her head.
He offers a hand towards her with a bit of hesitance she grabs it and is led out of the institute.
