The Two of Us
E/O Drabble Challenge: word count 100
Challenge word: include a metaphor
Warnings: None. Chuck muses over his writing, wondering about Sam and Dean.
Chuck's finger hovered over the delete key. He knew this hadn't been in his dream/vision/whatever-the-hell-it-was-that-happened when he passed out, drunk as a skunk; but damn if this wasn't a hellish good bit of writing all the same. He didn't understand this compulsion to stick to the script that seemed to come with Prophet-territory.
Maybe he could just save this part and use it in another story. Another different, happier tale about two other brothers whose life was a Beatles song.
The two of them, riding nowhere, not arriving.
On their way back home.
Two Of Us
(Lennon/McCartney)
Two of us riding nowhere
Spending someone's
Hard earned pay
You and me Sunday driving
Not arriving
On our way back home
We're on our way home
