The Snuggle is Real
Summary: It's early in the morning yet Cedric finds himself in a plight when a sleeping Sofia won't let go of his leg.
He had forgotten why the child had been with him.
Until he tried to stand.
Sofia had a nightmare in the middle of the night and being the changed man he was, allowed her to sleep with him for the night.
Though Cedric had forgotten why she had a nightmare, it made him wonder how she got to his leg of all places.
Sneaky little princess.
But it didn't matter as Cedric stood up and unintentionally dragged a sleeping Sofia around as he walked around in a stir. She barely woke up during the time, deep into her own dreamland.
An occasional giggle would escape her lips as Cedric felt her small hands that were wrapped around his leg get sweaty from holding on to him. It made the sorcerer somewhat disgusted by the touch but he couldn't just shake her off. Roland would kill him if she ever got a scrape.
"Come on. Wake up and get off," Cedric muttered gently, stroking the child's hair.
Sofia whined in her sleep, refusing to let go of the leg she was getting attached to. Though in her defense it was probably the sorcerer himself in her dreamland.
It only caused Cedric to shake his head in frustration. Why did she had to be stubborn even asleep?
He eventually gave up with the trying of getting her off his leg, accepting that she had found it as a comfort object of sorts and wouldn't leave it until sunrise.
When Sofia had finally woken up, Cedric was silently thanking Merlin as she got off his leg.
"Good morning Mr. Cedric!" Sofia giggled. "Did you sleep well?"
"No," Cedric grumbled, rubbing his eyes.
"Did you have a bad dream?"
Cedric shook his head, grumbling under his breath. She would find out eventually why he hadn't slept well but for now was thankful she wasn't on him anymore.
Except now Cedric would have to find a spell that made Sofia stay in one spot while asleep the next time she came to him for help with a nightmare.
