Most people don't remember their life when they were babies but I do, I remember her glowing green eyes. You see, I'm not like most normal people, I'm a half blood and my name is Luke. I remember standing on the edge of the crib, my mother's glassy eyes staring off into the distance. I watched them begin to glow. I was unaware of the horros that were about to happen. I listened in terror as she spoke. "17 years... You will face your greatest fears... To death you will part... Though in the end they will find goodness in your heart." She said in a low howl. Fear shot at me like a gun. I screamed at the top of my lungs. My mother staired at the crying baby before her and driven mad withthe power of the future she threw a plate at me. She was insane, always had been. It's all because of her failed attempt to become the oracle. Her twisted mind always thought of a new way to hurt me, to abuse me. One day I couldn't stamd it anymore, I had to get away. My small legs ran until they ached, desprate to get away from the prison that I call home. I ran and ran, I never stopped moving. I was tired and hungry but couldn't stop something was after me. I had seen many creatures, people thought I was crazy. Every day I had to fight for survival. I even had to train myself. I couldn't even close my eyes for one second before they'd attack. I was all alone, scared. Until I met her. Her name was Thalia Grace. She was absolutely beatiful and strong, like nobody I'd ever met before. I felt safe around her. We trudged on together. Through the urban jungle, over mountains. Each battle drained us. While we were climbing we came acrossed a beautiful young girl. She was so skinny that it looked as if she hadn't eaten in years and the clothes were tatters but none of it took away from her beauty. I stared into her startling blue eyes, as she got up her gloden hair blew in the wind. Thalia stared at me with a look of terror in her eyes. "Monster" she mouthed. All I did was was stare at Thalia blankly, as if she were crazy. "Hello." the girl said softly. "You look starving. And... And... Dirty!" The moment I said it I regreted it. Her face turned bright red as she desprately tried to scrub the grime off her face. After a long silence she finally said, "I see you have plenty water and plenty food... May I come along with you?"
