One of my first Harry Potter fanfics! Well, the first I've posted. I've always thought Harry and Cho went together well, so, without further ado, here is my Harry/Cho oneshot.
The village of Hogsmeade was blanketed in thick white snow, covering rooftops and falling from the sky. Crackling fires were lit in every building (except for The Hog's Head) to keep the people warm. Cheery laughter and the slight rumble of Christmas music chorused throughout the village.
Harry sat with Cho in the Three Broomsticks, a sense of happiness inside him. He and Cho were finally going out on a date. He had waited for this for what seemed like forever. They sat in a back corner of the pub, both talking and drinking their Butterbeers.
"This is really nice, Harry," Cho said, smiling. Harry could feel the heat rush up to his face. Stumbling over his words, he managed to reply.
"Er-thanks," he said. Cho giggled. She laid down her Butterbeer, a gleam of affection in her eyes.
"You don't know how much this means to me, Harry," she continued. "I haven't felt this way since-" she faltered, "since Cedric died." Harry could see the hint of sadness in her eyes and, laying down his own Butterbeer, took her hand. He knew the subject of Cedric was a hard one for her, as it was for him as well.
"I know how it feels. I've never felt this way about anyone before," he said, "but cheer up. Cedric would have wanted you to be happy." She nodded, the smile returning to her face.
"You're really sweet, Harry." The heat that had rushed up to his face burned even brighter and Cho giggled again.
"Y-You, too. I think you're-" But he was cut off as he felt Cho's lips meet his. Shocked, he was momentarily paralyzed. Then his tongue reacted two of them battled for dominance, their kiss growing more passionate by the minute. When they finally broke apart both were left dazed.
"Now what were you going to say?" she asked, grinning. Harry beamed.
"I just want you to know that I love you," he said, and before he knew it, they were kissing again.
A/N: I know, this fic is horrible. But I just have to post a Harry Potter fanfiction before I post a Twilight one. I'll come back and edit it later. I don't own Harry Potter.
