It was quite a beautiful day in "City". The sun was shining and it was perfect for some repairs on D-Wheel. Yugo was his usual cheerful and energetic self as he decided that he needs to completely fix his D-Wheel today.

"It's time to work my butt of today! I don't wanna get yelled at" he scratched his cheeks.

As he entered the garage and sat down besides his D-Wheel he felt a slight sting near his pocket.

'This is… there is something familiar about this…' Yugo thought, as he found a key in his pocket with pink keychain. As he took out what was bothering him, a strange sense of nostalgia washed over him.

'This must be for one of the rooms in the orphanage…'

'But I don't remember this key belonging to anyone…' Yugo kept thinking, however his memories seem to contradict with his feelings it seems as he seem to be lost deep in thought as he tried to recall the owner of this key.

Yugo smiled though 'well, I'll find its owner and return it later' although that smile turned into a scowl not long after for some reason.

He scratched the back of his head, as if trying to come back to reality 'Not good, I need to get back to repairing the D-Wheel. It took quite a bit of damage, so I don't have time to be lost in thoughts' he said tucking the key in his pocket.

A weird feeling coursed through Yugo's head as he picked up his wrench to repair the D-Wheel.

'My… (Our?) D-Wheel was broken… but how was it broken?'

He wasn't able to remember the details.

'Was it an accident…?' he tried to recall, as he did, an image of a person started to surface, as that person was riding their monster in a duel attacking Yugo. He couldn't make out much details though. He can only slightly recall the monster's color, being blue and white, and his opponent being a girl with green hair, as it seems.

'Is that how my D-Wheel was broken? I lost in a Duel?'

"Ahhh...! Darn it!" he said out loud slamming his hand on the D-Wheel "I'll just focus on rebuilding it". Yugo wasn't the type to think about things too much so those weird feelings were making him uncomfortable.

"I'll just finish my D-Wheel and participate in the Friendship Cup and win the whole damn thing!" he breathed faster.

The "Friendship Cup" was the ultimate tournament in his hometown "City". Winner is known as "King" and the King was the ultimate symbol of dueling. The person who wins the Friendship Cup can get out of the slums that Yugo was living in and live a luxurious life. Yugo promised that he will definitely win the Friendship Cup for a better future, in order to do so he had to defeat the current King Jack Atlas.

"I'll definitely beat Jack and fulfill our promise Ri-" he couldn't breath.

'Ri...' he mouthed slightly. That green haired girl that he remembered as his opponent, who he seem to have made a promise with, was her name…

"Rin?" Such beautiful name

"Rin!" That name all too familiar but all too distant.

"RIN!"

Sudden burst of emotions overflowed in Yugo's heart.

He felt sadness and anger and weakness and most agonizing of them all, he felt the fear of losing someone precious to him.

"Where is Rin?" his question that he will do anything he can to find an answer to.

"I have to find her!"

And he surely can, as he is someone who doesn't know what giving up means, A certain green haired girl once told him after all.
