"Lobotomy?"
"Yeah, he's next on the list."
The doctors looked in at the dark-haired young man.
"Why him?"
"He's a menace. This week alone he's pulverized seven inmates and three doctors, escaped five times, and would not for one second shut up about…well, you know."
The questioning doctor sighed.
"He's just the youngest I've ever operated on."
"He doesn't know what's going on. He thinks he's on a pirate ship having a grand adventure with someone named 'Zoro'."
"Are you sure? Absolutely sure? This process is irreversible."
Silence.
"…Yes. I'm sure. There aren't any better options for the little guy."
The subject began singing a new song of his own, marching proudly and energetically around his room. To anyone who didn't know him, he hardly looked like a menace.
"Just look at him. At least if you do this, the interactions he has with his world won't affect anyone else."
A sigh.
The door creaked open.
The song stopped, and large brown eyes shifted to face the door.
"Monkey D. Luffy, come along."
A huge grin spread across his face, big enough to reveal his gums.
"Coming Zoro!"
