Iruka stopped on the sidewalk as Kakashi walked up to him. "Hello, Kakashi-sensei," he said.
"Hello, Iruka-sensei. It's a lovely day for saving cats from trees, is it not?" Kakashi responded.
"I suppose it is," Iruka said politely.
"Would you go on a date with me?" Kakashi asked just as casually.
Iruka thought about that for a moment. "Not really," he said simply.
"Okay," Kakashi said. "Good to know."
Then he walked off just as abruptly as he approached.
