When the warm apple pie was set in front of her, Cassie inhaled deeply. "Mmm, don't you just love pie?"

"Oh yeah," Dean agreed. "The flaky crust, the different flavors… sweet and rich, or slightly tangy; and if it's fresh, you know right from the oven? With ice… cream… What?"

Cassie just sat there smiling. "I just don't think I've ever heard somebody so passionate about pie."

Blushing, Dean finally looked away. "Yeah well… I just… really like pie."

Lapsing into a comfortable silence, Dean watched Cassie eat. When she hummed in pleasure, Dean knew. He really liked this girl.
