/ So, this is /my/ first Free! fic. WOOT. Blah blah blah, here is the story~
"Oi, Matsuoka Rin-kun!" A blonde boy yelled as he saw Rin walking down a barren street. With a groan, Rin turned around at the sound of his name being called and looked at the blonde shota with a glare. "Ah, Nagisa. What is it?" he said with irritation.
Nagisa, noticing Rin's irritated voice, started looking around nervously, seeing no one else nearby to call on if needed. With all the strength he could muster, Nagisa replied. "Oi, Rin-kun! Long time no see, eh?" He said with a grin, making his eyes crinkle at the edges of his eyes. "Have you talked to Haru recently?" Nagisa asked curiously, allowing his grin to be wiped off of his face with seriousness. At the sound of his frenemy, Rin's eyes widened with curiosity and he cocked a brow. "Have I talked to Haru? No. Tch, why would I talk to such a-.." He cut off mid-sentence, realizing that one of Haru's closest friends was in his presence. He didn't want word to reach Haru about what he would've blurted about him, and he knew Nagisa would've said something either on purpose or as an accident. Nagisa sighed and looked down at his now shifting feet, avoiding Rin's curious gaze. Nagisa spoke, stuttering, "The reason I'm asking.. the reason I'm asking is because Haru seems depressed, more often than not lately, and I was wondering if you had something to do with it. So it's kinda funny I saw you here today, ha ha!" Nagisa said with nervous laughter and sneaked a glance at Rin's face, which has flashed red in anger.
"How dare you blame me for his depressed state," Rin yelled harshly, pacing in front of Nagisa in rage. Nagisa flinched as his ears started to pound in his ears. "I haven't spoken to him in a long time! Why would I have caused him to act this way? Why would I care about him!? He's my enemy, my rival. I have no wish to speak to him, and I caused nothing!" Rin finished with his razor-sharp shark teeth bared at Nagisa, along with his spittle specks flying in the air in angry, rapid speed. Nagisa stayed silent for a while, thinking of words he should say. "W-would you like to?" Nagisa asked with a stutter, wondering if that was want Rin wanted. To see Rin's reaction at the question, Nagisa then looked up, keeping an even gaze while staring at Rin's face. With a huff, Rin smirked, entertained at the sight of the little shota having his eyes trained on him. "No. I don't want to see him, and I won't see him. Not again, and not anymore. But, if you will," Rin reached into his track suit pants' pocket, pulling out a folded piece of paper with care and handing it to Nagisa with a roll of his eyes. "Take this to Haru, and only Haru. If I realize that you took a look at that paper, you will be on my bad side. Call it shark bait if you will." Rin chomped his teeth at Nagisa, proving his point.
Nagisa then took the note from Rin's palm and placed it into his breast pocket carefully, not wanting to crumple the piece of paper that he needed to deliver specially to his friend. With a nod, Nagisa took a step back and did a small wave with a hand. In return, Rin kept his gaze on Nagisa until he turned his back on him, and sauntered off in the opposite direction, back straight and chin raised towards the heavens.
