I want to write more X-Men stuff, I do. I just don't seem to be able to... But, I managed a small Scott/Remy ficlet anyway. I hoped it would kickstart the urge but it didn't. Oh well. Don't read if you don't like student/teacher relationships. Otherwise, enjoy!
Complicated
He was sure that life wasn't supposed to get this complicated.
Just like he was sure that he wasn't meant to be banging his students, just like he was sure he wasn't meant to be cheating on his girl, just like he was sure said student really shouldn't have been an eighteen year young boy by the name of Remy.
He was also fairly sure that he had brought the whole complicated mess down on himself.
So...it wasn't that he was sure life wasn't meant to be this complicated. It was that he was sure he wasn't meant to be this complicated.
He was meant to be... He didn't really know. Stalwart and fearless and a virtual rock for everyone in the house. But that would make things easy and he was already decided that things would be wrong if they were.
Because if things were easy, then he wouldn't have one dangerously pretty boy under him and panting out his name. He wouldn't be able to run his tongue over the sweat slick, cat-like muscles of the chest straining up against him. Or fist his hands in long auburn hair to force those burning red eyes to look up at him a moment before he devoured that fine mouth with his own. He wouldn't be able to hear the panted 'Please, Scott' and he wouldn't be able to correct the boy so he added a 'sir' onto the end.
If things were easy... Then Remy would have left long before now and been as good as dead on the streets without anyone in the house giving him too much of a second thought. And Scott would have gone back to the bed he was supposed to be in with his girl. He wouldn't be the only one privy to the looks he and Remy shared from behind their dark sunglasses. There wouldn't be any quiet or comforting silences between them like there could never be with Jean because she knew everything and wouldn't stop prying. He wouldn't be able to just...be.
And...he would have been absolutely miserable.
Things, he thoroughly decided as Remy writhed beneath him, were a lot better complicated.
