Story 1: Arrival.
I looked at the address on the house then the one on the letter Van Hoenhiem sent me.
"Well this looks like the right place." I said to myself.
I walked up to the front door and knocked.
"It's unlocked!" A voice called from inside. I turned the knob and opened the door I poked my head in. The entry way led off into a hall with four different doors and an open archway that must've led to a kitchen considering the delicious smells wafting from it, and a stair well at the end. I walked in and closed the door quietly; I looked around for anyone else
"Hello? Anyone- hm?" I knelt down to look at a white mark on the floor. It was smudged and almost gone but I could make out the shape of a circle and marks in it.
"Well if I didn't know any better I would say that was where a transmutation-"
"Hey look out!" I looked up to see two young boys, five and four, try to skid to a stop but failed, epically. They crashed right into me sending me flying back and hitting my head on the floor.
"Urg… aww my head!" I groaned
"Arg! Nii-sann my head hurts like crazy!"
"Ughh so does mine…"
"Edward, Alphonse! I told you two not to race in the house you could've run into... you're father's new student."
I sat up clutching my head; I looked up at the young woman who I guessed was the boys' mother. She looked apologetic.
"I'm sorry about the behavior of my sons."
"Ah no worries; I'm Halo Calk. You're Hoenhiem's wife right?"
She smiled.
"Yes; please call me Trisha."
I nodded; a memory flicked in the back of my mind my own mom smiling and laughing when my brother and I did the same thing to our dad.
I followed Trisha down the hall to the third door.
"So here's you're room; take you're time to get settled." She said and smiled again and walked into the kitchen. I picked up my bag and opened the door; the room had the basic necessities: a bed, dresser, and a desk. I walked over to the bed and dropped my bag on it and realized something. I slapped my hand against my forehead.
"My books!" I exclaimed. I walked out of my room quickly; to see that the brothers were dragging my bags down the hall. I walked over
"Let me give you a hand there." I said kneeling down next to the one I thought was Alphonse, long blonde hair, short, and had the same gold eyes as his father and brother.
"You're Alphonse right?" I asked him heaving the bag over my shoulder.
"No! I'm Edward!" He said narrowing his eyes.
"What's in these things?" Panted the real Alphonse.
"Books, an easel, and painting and writing supplies."
"What do those have to do with alchemy?"
Edward asked.
"Well painting is a past-time for me; the books are all about Alchemy."
I picked up the bag Alphonse had and walked back to my room.
I had set everything up; books were on their shelves, the easel was set up, and I had all my materials on the desk.
"Dinner's ready!" Trisha called. I smiled softly; life may not be what it used to be but it was pretty close when I stepped through the front door. Now all that was left to do was to start my training.
