this was just a muse i had, a friend challenged me to do something in Shuyin's POV so here it is lol. i hope you guys like it

Sighing he looked out through the crowd as she danced. He loved to watch her dance; always had and always will. Forever. He gave a sinister smile at that thought. Forever was impossible and they both knew it but it was nice to pretend. It was always nice to ignore those thoughts that usually clouded his mind in their travels. What he would do to keep his summoner alive. What he would do to be with her until the end. Sure they hadn't said the three most important words yet but it was clear that the feeling was mutual between them. It was clear that she was his oxygen; the very life he lived, he lived through her. The music played in the background but Shuyin paid no mind. He focused solely on the girl performing. His lover. What he would do to end this stupid war for her. It was clear in his mind that no matter what happened he would be with her one way or another. He would save this world for her if she asked. Even if she never did he would do it because she wanted it.

This war was causing so many problems in everyone's lives not just his but he couldn't help but feel that it was affecting his the most. The only girl he could ever love was to save everyone else and die herself. How was that fair to him; to her. The lights went off and the crowd cheered around him and began standing to leave. Smiling he quickly ran back stage to watch as she descended the stairs from the stage. It was her eyes that had first attracted him. He could be lost in those eyes forever and never return. She smiled and waved as she spotted him her long brown hair flowing behind her. Her hair was always soft he could remember the times when she used to lay beside him as she dreamed. He could watch her sleep peacefully as he took on the burdens she had to face. He missed the days when they were younger.

Everything was so much simpler then. No wars, no anger, no darkness. He could feel it around him as she disappeared swarmed by people. His light was dimmed as she spoke to the excited crowed. Frowning he watched as men joined the crowd to compliment her. He hated it. The thought of his light with someone else made him sick. How could he live without her? Well he couldn't and if one day it would come to that he would stop it. He would end the fear and the terror; the anger. A friend from back home had said something about a machina that could destroy everyone and everything. If that were what it took he would find it; even if he were to die in the process he would do it for her. He had to.

He needed her as much as she needed him and he wasn't going to fail her. Never. Finally the crowd left with her waving goodbye to them with a small laugh. Her laugh was like bells to him. Her voice would ring when it called to him making him obey her even if he wanted to stop it. She walked up to him with a big smile.

"Hi" she said as he pushed her bangs behind her ear then cupped her check studying her just in case it was his last chance.

"Hi" he replied to her before pulling her to him, burying his face in her shoulder. He needed her. He needed her in his world and no one was going to take her away. Not if he could help it.
