"Oh! Mail!" I said excitedly. As I shuffled trough bills and junk
mail, one envelope caught my eye. It looked like a wedding invitation, but
I didn't know anyone getting married.
I quickly tore open the envelope and read what was inside.
"Gordo and Parker would like to invite you to their wedding! Sunday, September 23, 2003. The wedding will be at the Jewish Tabernacle on Main Street. Reception to follow. Please come."
Gordo.and Parker? Getting married? What? How? When? Why? I thought to my self.
" Well, it looks like Gordo is getting married in two weeks. Great." MI said as I rolled my eyes. I didn't exactly want to go, considering how we left off one year ago.
As I walked into the living room, I thought back to that dreadful day.
12 MONTHS EARLIER
" What the heck is your problem Gordo? Why can't I be with Ethan? What is so wrong with that?" I yelled clearly in the silence of his room.
" Ethan isn't the guy you should be engaged to. I should." Gordo started, but never got to finish.
" Save it Gordo, just save it. I do not want to listen to anymore of your pathetic excuses. I love Ethan and if I want to get married to him, I will. So live with it." With that I walked out of his room, down the stairs, and out of the door. Little did I know that walking out that door would also be walking out of his life.forever.
