"Sharpay, I've got the back of the bike, you can't fall." Zeke said with a smile.
"You never know what could happen!" Sharpay said, biting her lip.
Sharpay hadn't ridden a bike since she was four. For her birthday, Zeke had bought her a used bike from a garage sale. It was a good bike, even though it was used. He had made sure it was her size, and then he got the correct paint and painted the bikeā¦pink, of course. It was complete with a license plate with the words: SHOWGAL. It was perfect, and Sharpay was delighted at the bike, and was eager to get back on it. However, riding a bike was not as easy as she thought.
"It's tipping!"
"No, it's not!"
"I can feel it tipping!"
"I'm telling you, I have the back of the bike in my hands, Sharpay, it won't fall!"
"OMG THERE'S A BEE!"
"There's no bee!"
"AHHHHHHH!"
The next thing they knew, they were on the ground, laughing. Zeke sat up and looked at Sharpay. "You're crazy." He said with a smirk.
He stood up and walked the bike to the nearest bench, where he leaned the bike against the back and sat down. Sharpay followed and hugged him as she sat down. The sun was starting to set, and to Sharpay, the scene was perfect. He wrapped his arm around her and she leaned in on his chest.
"How do you feel now, Sharpay?"
"Huh?"
"Do you feel like you're tipping?"
She smiled and looked up at him. "In your arms, right now, I'm steady. Everything's perfect."
And she truly meant what she said. When she was with him, her world was perfect, everything was right.
