It was a chilly Fall morning. Ororo Munroe was walking down a hallway in Xavier's Institute For Higher Learning when she heard someone crying. She knocked on the bedroom door.

"Who is it?" called Jean Grey-Summers.

"Ororo," replied Ororo. "May I come in, Jean?"

"Yes, you certainly may," Jean answered between sobs.

Ororo came into the room, shut the door behind her, and sat next to her best friend on the bed. "What's wrong, Jean?"

Jean cried, "OH, ORORO, IT'S SCOTT!"

"Scott? What has he done to upset you so?" asked Ororo.

"I CAUGHT HIM OUT ON A DATE WITH A NEWSPAPER REPORTER! I CONFRONTED HIM WITH IT, BUT HE DENIED IT, CLAIMING THEY WERE ONLY FRIENDS! AND NOW HE WANTS A DIVORCE!" Jean sobbed.

"Oh, that's terrible! I'm so sorry to hear it, Jean!" exclaimed Ororo, holding her friend as she cried.

That afternoon, Ororo informed Logan of Jean's broken heart caused by Scott.

"THAT SCUM! HOW COULD HE HURT JEANIE LIKE THAT?" Logan puffed angrily on his cigar.

"That is what I wish to know as well, Logan," replied Ororo. "We owe it to Jean as her friends to do our best to get them back together."

"Yeah," Logan replied, lost in thought. After awhile, he declared excitedly, "Hey, Stormy, I have an ideal!"

"What is your ideal, Logan?" Storm inquired.

Logan then began to tell his ideal to Storm.

The next night was Friday night. Jean, Ororo, Logan, and Scott were out as a group of friends just out to have a good time. They were at Harry's.

"Stormy" came on the jukebox. Logan rose and bowed to Ororo, "May I have this dance?"

Ororo smiled. "Yes, you most certainly may." Logan danced Ororo out onto the dance floor, leaving Scott and Jean alone to sort out their problems.

"May I ha-" Scott started to ask.

Jean interrupted him, "No."

"Why not?" Scott asked.

"Because," Jean explained, "it would ruin our cover."

Jean and Scott continued to talk while Ororo and Logan danced on and on and on . . . After awhile, they had completely forgotten about Jean and Scott as well as everybody else. They were in their own little world, and it was a very happy world. They gazed into each other's eyes joyfully. They both felt as if they had found a missing part of their soul.

At the end of the sixth song, Logan reached up as Ororo leaned down. They kissed!

Logan and Ororo finally rejoined Scott and Jean at the table. "Have you two straightened things out?" Logan asked.

"There was nothing between us that required straightening out, Logan," replied Jean.

Ororo inquired, "What do you mean?"

Jean answered, "It was all an act to get you two together."

"Did it work?" Scott added.

Logan nodded yes as he laid his hand gently upon Ororo's.

Ororo smiled sweetly. "Yes, it did."

That was the beginning of a beautiful relationship between Storm and Wolverine. They were together for years. Their love got them through many a dangerous situation. When they married, Jean was Ororo's bride's maid and Scott Logan's best man.
