"Close your eyes and I'll kiss you, tomorrow I'll miss you. Remember I'll always be true, and then while I'm away, I'll right home everyday. And send all my loving to you." Hermione sang to her daughter softly who rested in her arms, cuddled against her mother.

"Mum, do I have to go?" She said now crying soft tears.

Hermione smiled and stroked the top of her head and said softly, "Of course you do Rose. I promise that you will have a fantastic time just as much as your father and I had!" She said now kissing Rose's forehead.

"But what if I don't want to go tomorrow, what if I want to stay home with you and dad!" She said.

Hermione smiled, "Hogwarts is going to be great for you Rose. Don't be frightened about it."

"I'm not frightened mum I just don't want to go! I'll have no friends and I don't want to leave you and dad!" She said gripping hold to her mother.

Hermione sighed, "Rose Weasley, your father and I will be fine. James will start school tomorrow and Neville will be teaching you. You're not going to be alone."

Rose sniffed and let go of her mother, "Would Neville mind if I stayed with him?" She asked.

"Neville might be too busy lecturing his students about plants." They both heard a cheery and deep voice say.

Ron entered the room with a present in his hands.

"Daddy!" She said cheerfully.

"May I join you two?" He asked jokingly.

"Please do dad." Rose responded.

Hermione moved a little and Rose got off the bed pulling her father to sit beside her mother in bed. After Ron had joined his wife, Rose went on her bed sitting on the lap of her father.

"Now this seems perfect." Hermione said with smile.

"Couldn't have said it better myself." Responded Ron.

Rose giggled then noticed the present, "Father, is that for me?" She said in hope.

Ron smiled at his wife, "Is it?"

Hermione smiled back, "Oh well I think it must be."

Rose smiled, "It is?" She said in enthusiasm. "But it isn't even my Birthday!" She said.

"True, but, since you're going to have your first day at school tomorrow your mother and I-" Bloody hell, how I still love the sound of that, "have bought you something."

Ron then handed his daughter the present.

It was a little box wrapped in shiny gold wrapping paper with a little red bow on the top.

Rose opened the box carefully. She gasped.

Inside the box was a heart-shaped locket that had a picture of her and her parents.

"Oh it's beautiful!" She said. "Thank you so much mum and dad!" She said looking back at them both then each giving them hugs.

Her parents smiled, "Take good care of it now." Hermione said.

Rose nodded, "I will, and I shall put it on first thing in the morning." She said then suddenly yawned, "I think I want to go to sleep right now actually."

Hermione and Ron then slowly got off the bed where Rose sneaked her way in under the covers.

They both kissed their daughter on the forehead before leaving, "Good night love." Ron said to his daughter.

"We love you very much." Hermione said she slowly closed the bedroom door.

"I can't believe our daughter is already going to Hogwarts." Ron said lacing his fingers with his wife.

She kissed him on the lips and smiled, "Me neither." She said.
