Title: Chemistry

Author: Kat

Chapter: One-shot

Rating: G

Pairing: Oishi/Eiji

Disclaimer: I don't own Prince of Tennis or any of it's characters.

Warnings: Shounen-ai. Shortness. Stupid ending line that doesn't make sense.

Notes: In retribution for my Atobe/Oishi fic, I forced myself to write some Golden Pair fluff. This is what happened. Enjoy

/Chemistry/

It was nice, just being here in Oishi's arms, Eiji decided. The lights were out, a single candle providing the only brightness in the dark room.

Their game of checkers had long been abandoned, the pieces scattered over the floor in rough disarray.

The marshmallows Eiji had tried –and failed- to roast over the candle flame sat cementing themselves into the carpet near the television. Eiji knew Oishi would be 'disappointed' (Oishi never got mad, he was always just 'disappointed') later when he would have to spend a good hour cleaning it up because of Eiji's negligence, but it was worth it not to leave the soft warmth of his arms.

Eiji could hear Oishi's breathing quite clearly in the absence of other noises. The only other sound was the beating of their hearts, a slow beat that was wonderfully comforting.

Running his hands over the blanket covering them both, Eiji came to an important conclusion.

Electricity wasn't important if you had the right chemistry.

/End/

This is the shortest thing I've written in a while. Wow. Just over a hundred words.

Hope people liked it anyways, despite its shortness. Once again, feedback is appreciated.
