Yet another project for English class was a short story depicting the missing scene from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.

Disclaimer: I do not own Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.

Act II, Scene 7

Scene: Romeo and Juliet's wedding held by Friar Lawrence.

Friar Lawrence: I fear for this love, deep as a puddle, seeing only the reflections on the surface. I fear that love is like a gust of wind for you two.

Juliet: Just swear it be so, and I'll no longer be a Capulet, but a Montague with my fair Romeo.

Friar Lawrence: With such haste the fair lady will just cast aside her family for an enemy. Here, you both shall be joined in my attempt to stop the petty feud your parents have with the respective other family. Are you both sure of your request?

Romeo: I am.

Juliet: Yes.

Friar Lawrence: Wrap this piece of cloth around your hand and his hand. This symbolizes the joining of both together in holy matrimony. Dost thou promise to keep good faith, respect both parties, and share an honest and loving relationship as long as you both shall live?

Romeo: I do.

Friar Lawrence: Dost thou promise to keep good faith, respect both parties, and share an honest and loving relationship as long as you both shall live?

Juliet: I do.

Friar Lawrence: Then, with the power vested in me, I consent and gladly give. I now pronounce you man and wife. You may kiss the bride.
