Anko burst into the Hokage's office, not bothering with knocking or any of the other things considered polite. "Its gone! Something happened to him!"
Tsunade looked up from her desk. "Whats gone? What happened to who?"
Anko was visibly shaken. "The Curse Mark, its gone. Something happened to Orochimaru, or he's up to something. The Curse Mark is completely gone!"
Tsunade stood up and walked over, examining Anko's neck. She called in Shizune. "Notify all Jounin, Orochimaru may be on the move again. And get me all the information we have on the curse marks." Nodding Shizune ran out of the room.
-Three weeks later
"Hokage-sama!"A messenger ran into her office where she was going over defense plans for the village.
"What is is? Is Orochimaru attacking?"She was hoping for more time than this!
"No Hokage-sama, its a massage... from the sound Village."
"What?" What was the meaning of this? "Has it been checked for traps?"
"Of course, all standard and advances tats have been made, the scroll is safe."
Tsunade slowly and cautiously opened the scroll, and what she read shocked her to no end
"To the Hokage of Konoha,
I have killed Orochimaru and Kabuto in such a way as they will remain dead permanently. I am the new leader of the Sound Village, and it has come to my attention that we have a common enemy. Akatsuki. Though I only have a personal interest in one of the members, I have read some of the notes Orochimaru wrote while a member. I have come to the conclusion that the entire organization must be destroyed. I propose an alliance to stop them. A delegate will be sent and should arrive in one weeks time for negotiation. We are offering information of Akatsuki in return for your support. More detail will arrive with the delegate. This offer is also being sent to your allies in Suna.
Also, I ask that you do not allow Naruto Uzumaki and Sakura Haruno to gain a false hope. I am not returning to the village, nor will this alliance be permanent.

Tsunade set the scroll down and looked up. "I wonder what will become of this." She sighed, at least there was some silver lining. "Notify the village defenses. Tell them to stay alert, but they can stand down some. Also, bring me Kakashi and his team."

You know... this kinda makes me sad. I came up with this idea, and I have no idea where to take it from here, at all! If someone wants to take this over... I may consider it. Maybe... email me. I'll review you writing style and decide, that is if anyone wants this. I may write more if the ideas strike me, but so far I'm drawing a blank!
