Hey guys, I'm rewriting some of my stories. I wasn't really satisfied with some things. So sorry, it's not a new chapter.
Loren's pov
I can't believe that Melissa made me go to this party. It's on a boat, who would have a party on a boat? Anyway she made me go so I put on some denim shorts and a white tank top. Underneath it I'm wearing a black two piece bikini. We arrive at this huge boat. There are lights everywhere. Loud music is coming from the boat and people are dancing everywhere. Melissa shows our invitations and we get on the boat. "Melissa, I really don't feel like partying! And besides, I've got a lot of homework to do!", I try to yell over the music. Meliss starts moving her hips at the beat of the music. "Loren, it's saturday! Let yourself go just for this one time, please!" I sigh and give in.
The boat has left the harbour and I can't find Melissa anymore. "Great, just great." "What's great?", some guy suddenly says. I turn around and see that it's this guy from class. "Nothing important.", and I turn back around. "Well hey, I'm Eddie.", he says." "I know.", I respond bored. He looks confused, "How do you know?" "You're the popular douchebag from school. Every girl practically drools all over you.", I answer annoyed. He smirks, "Including you right?" I laugh at him, "Yeah right." Thats when the person I hate most interrupts. "Eddie, why are you talking to this loser?" I decide to just walk away from it. I'm tempted to leave the party but we're kind of on the ocean. Like I said, who throws a party on a boat?
A little later Eddie's standing next to me again and now I'm just considering jumping off the boat. But instead I just choose to ignore him. "Hey." I don't respond. "Did I do something wrong?" "What are you doing here Eddie?" "What do you mean?" "You don't even know me." He smirks, "I could get to know you." God knows what kind of things he's thinking right now. "No you can't. I'm in all of your classes and you didn't even recognise me you asshole. So why would you want to get to know me now?" I try to walk away but then suddenly Eddie grabs my arm. I immediately yank it out of his grip and take a few steps back out of shock. Eddie must notice it because he starts to apologising. "Loren, I wasn't trying to hurt you. Sorry if I did." Then suddenly there's Chloe again. "Why are you standing next to my boyfriend every time. You think he would go for you?" And that's when she pushes me. I take a step back again, "Keep your barbie hands off me!" I try to walk away but she pushes me again catching me off guard and I fall off the boat. I tried to hold on to something, that something being Chloe so now we're both falling.
As soon as my body hits the water it's like all the oxygen gets sucked away from my body and I can't breath. The water is freezing. I can feel my body getting numb and I can't move. As result my head's going underneath the water. The last thing I see before going completely under water is Chloe getting into the rubber boat that's next to the ship for emergencies. My body sinks deeper and deeper but just as I'm falling into unconsciousness I can feel two strong arms around my waist, pulling me to the surface.
Nora's pov
"Trent, do you know where Loren is?" "Why do you care? She's probably just out with some friends.", he responds while reading the newspaper. "Sorry for wanting to know where she is for when something happens." "She's 18 Nora. She can take care of herself.", he responds bored. "Why do you always act like this?", I ask irritated. "Like what?", he responds still not taking his eyes of the newspaper. "Like you don't care about Loren or me at all." He stands up, "I don't feel like having this argument again, Nora." I'm angry now, "So you're just going away for the whole night again?! You're never here for Loren and me!", I yell. He walks out the door, "That's because you always complain about everything." Why is he acting so distant all the time? This family doesn't even look like a family. Loren even looks scared of Trent sometimes. What's going wrong here?
Loren's pov
I open my eyes and see Eddie's face just inches away from mine. His lips come closer and he presses them against mine, blowing oxygen into my mouth. Suddenly I start coughing and water comes out of my mouth. I try to sit up but my body is so numb that I can't move a muscle. Eddie looks at me concerned and Chloe just looks at me like she wants to push me back into the water. "Loren, are you okay?", Eddie asks concerned. I'm shivering, "I think so." I try to sit up again but am still failing. Eddie looks worried, "What's wrong?" I'm still shivering, "I c-can't move." He sits down and pulls me close to him, wrapping his arms around me so that my body is resting against his. My first instinct is to move at least a few metres away from him but I'm not able to. Chloe looks shocked, "Eddie, what the hell do you think you're doing?!"
He just ignores her while I enjoy the feeling of my body getting warmer. Soon I can move again and I immediately shake him off and move to the other side of the boat. "Thanks Eddie." He gives me this sexy smile, "You're welcome." I look at where Chloe's sitting and see that we're drifting away from the boat. "Chloe! What did you do?!" "I was bored so I tried untying the knot in this rope.", she responds like it isn't a matter of life and death. "What the hell Chloe! That was our only way back to land!"
We've been drifting for over an hour now. Chloe and Eddie are sitting on one side of the boat making out. They're totally grossing me out. Don't get me wrong, most of the time I think pda is cute but Chloe and Eddie are just really bad kissers. Like really bad kisser. "Could you guys like stop eating each other? We're drifting in the middle of the ocean. We've got to get home and the only things we got are two paddles and a bottle of water.", I say irritated. Eddie pulls back, "There's nothing we can do about it now so we'll just have to wait and see what happens." Chloe pulls Eddie back into making out and I decide to go sleep so that I won't have to watch them make out any longer.
Melissa's pov
I'm starting to wonder where Loren is. When I saw Ian I started dancing with him and the last time I saw Loren was when she was talking to Eddie. But since then I haven't seen her and that's weird because how big can this boat be? "Ian, have you seen Loren? Or Eddie for that matter?" "No I haven't seen them. But why Eddie?" "Well, he was talking to Loren so he might know where she is." "They're probably around here somewhere." "I haven't seen Loren in over two hours and that's weird because this boat is big but not that big." "You're right. Let's go look for them."
Nora's pov
It's morning and neither Loren nor Trent is back home. Loren is probably at Melissa's but just to make sure I call her. She doesn't pick up so I try Melissa's phone. She answers with a sleepy voice, "Hello?" "Hey Mel, it's Nora. Did I wake you?" "Yeah." "I'm sorry, I'm just calling to make sure Loren is with you." "What do you mean with me?", Melissa asks confused and I'm starting to hear worry in her voice. "She didn't come home last night so I figured she was with you?" "No, we went to this party last night and when I couldn't find her I thought she went home." "Where was that party?", I ask. Melissa sounds confused and worried now, "On a boat." "Do you think she's with a boy?", I never thought I would say this but I hope she is. At least that would mean she's save. "No, Loren would never do that." Now I'm starting to worry too. "Then where is she?" Melissa sounds shocked, "I have no idea." "I'm going to call the police." I hang up, get in my car and start driving around looking for Loren after calling the police. The police told me to come to the harbour in an hour so I texted Melissa to be there too. Where the hell is my daughter?
Eddie's pov
I wake up and look around. When I don't see Loren I start to freak out. I shake Chloe a little to wake her up. "Chloe, do you know where Loren is?" Chloe groans, "Nooo, and I don't care." "LOREN! LOREN, WHERE ARE YOU?!", I yell. That's when Loren's head pops out of the water. "I'm right here, what's wrong?" I can feel this weight getting lifted off my chest. I don't know why but I really was worried. "It's dangerous to swim in the sea, you know." "Why do you care?", she asks and I don't know the answer to that question. She tries to get in the boat and I offer her my hand to help her but she refuses. When she's in the boat she points to something. I look and see that it's an island. "Can you help me paddle to that island over there?", she asks me. "Yeah, of course.", I respond.
Nora's pov
I'm still driving but I can't find Loren anywhere. When I drive past Jackie Carter's house I see Trent's car standing in front of it. I park my car and walk to the door. I knock and hear Jackie giggling. A little bit later she opens the door only wearing a short rope. She looks shocked. I can't deny that I know what this must mean but I walk to her bedroom to make sure. Trent's laying in her bed, naked. "At least this explains your behaviour.", I state blundly. "Nora, I can explain." "No Trent. You really can't. I'll send you the divorce papers this afternoon.", I say calmly. "Nora, if you this I'll take Loren away from you." I walk over to him and do what I've been wanting to do ever since I knocked on Jackie's door, I slap him with all I have. By now I'm furious. "First of all, Loren is 18 so she can decide where she wants to live and I doubt that it's with you because you never once acted like you gave a piece of crap about her! And besides that, LOREN IS MISSING! But you didn't know that because you were too busy screwing Jackie!" I walk out of there and drive off. I so badly want to cry right now but this is not important at the moment. What's important is finding Loren.
Eddie's pov
Loren and I have been paddling for over an hour now and we're almost at the island. I'm amazed by the fact that Loren hasn't taken a break yet. We finally reach the island and Loren and I have to paddle extra hard because of the flow. When we finally reach the beach we get out and I help Loren drag the boat further onto the beach. Then she lets herself fall down on the beach and I follow her example. I'm exhausted now. Our peace is destroyed by Chloe whining, "Eddieeee, I'm hungry." Loren shows her irritation, "Then go find some food. Then you're finally doing something." "Eddie? Are you going to let her talk to me like that?" I actually think Loren is right. "Chloe, I'm tired. Loren, please stop talking to Chloe like that." Loren stands up, offended. "You know what Eddie? I can talk to Chloe anyway I want. I don't have to listen to you." And she starts walking away. I stand up too, "Loren, where are you going?" "Anywhere but here." "Loren, don't be stupid! It could be dangerous out there!"
