Author's note: This is the first fanfiction I've ever posted. So be gentle! xD
Disclaimer: I do not own Fire Emblem, if I do, I would have made Rebecca x Raven pairing more fluffy :p
She's sleeping, her emerald eyes are now hidden beneath her eyelids. The cheerful-like-a-sunshine Rebecca is sleeping in his arms. Just like the sun is resting and night appearing.
Raven is stunned, unsure what to do. She had been crying at the mention of her long lost brother. She must have missed him so much. The thought made his stomach flip, he wondered about Priscilla. How much pain had he caused her after they parted.
Looking at Rebecca is like looking at Priscilla, no matter how different they are, their circumstances are similar. Both had lost their brother, both had hidden their sadness inside while going through their lives.
While she was crying back then, he reflexively pulled her into his arms and she calmed down after a while, but turns out it was because she had fallen asleep.
He was surprised that the always-cheerful Rebecca had broke down with tears, he had never seen her so vulnerable. He looks at her green locks, how the sunset seem to dye her hair into its color. Once, he saw her practicing archery. It was also during sunset. Her silhouette when she released the arrow, her green pigtails swayed by the wind. The arrow went right through the body of an eagle flying high.
He thought it was an amazing sight. Then she realized his presence, and she smiled at him, greeting him with her most cheerful tone yet. He smiled at the thought, how she can brighten up her whole surrounding.
Raven is startled, this is the second time he made her smile in a single day. Rebecca's smile sure is contagious.
Carefully, he sat her leaning against the tree nearby and looks out for any enemies lurking while she sleeps. They can't go back to the camp like this, they might misunderstand him for doing something bad to her. Especially her childhood friend, the fellow archer, Wil.
Raven looks at her again, at the empty plates of the food she brought for him to eat. He isn't sure if he had been acting this way just because she reminded him of his own sister, but for the first time in many years since his family fell apart, like a virus spreading into his veins, he felt warmth.
