A lone figure moves silently through the forest, clutching a hunting bow in one hand. A single elk stands in the middle of the clearing up ahead. The figure moves to the edge of the trees, slowly sliding an arrow into the bow's quiver.
The elk takes off running.
"Shit." The hunter curses under his breath.
Then he realizes why the animal suddenly dashed off.
He hears the most terrifying sound he has ever heard. He quickly crouches behind the tree he was standing near. The hunter is shaking in fear. There's only one thing that could make a sound like that. But surely all the way out here…
A dragon flies directly overhead, confirming his suspicions. The hunter stays low to the ground; the dragon has not seen him.
The hunter notices a figure appears to be chasing the dragon. He briefly wonders if they are suicidal, then decides to make a run for it while it's sights are on something else. He starts to make his way back into the trees when he hears it.
"Joor Zah Frul!"
He hears a defining crash as the dragon is forced to the ground.
He flips back around just in time to see the person plunge a sword between the scales on the dragons neck.
They jump back just in time to avoid being nipped. They continue with this strategy several times.
The hunter stares, completely amazed. He once killed a pack of wolves on his own, but that didn't even compare to this.
He then hears the defining roar:
"Yol Toor shul!"
Fire spews forth from the dragons mouth. The figure quickly jumps sideways while raising a shield. The dragon pauses and they take the opportunity to climb onto it's head.
They quickly plunge the sword into the dragons head, killing it instantly.
The hunter wonders whether or not to go talk to the person. They start to walk forward, but stop when they notice the slain dragon starts to burn. A white light seems to travel from the dragon's body to the person.
All that's left of the dragon is its bones.
The person turns around and starts to walk away, back in the direction they came from. The hunter then steps forward.
"Umm…" he says, trying to find the words.
The person and the hunter make eye contact for a moment. The person smirks and continues walking. The hunter watches them until they disappear into the forest.
Who the hell was that?
