BA-BOOM

The boy fell. He didn't move.

BA-BOOM

The ground split beneath their feet. Dead warriors climbed their way out.

BA-BOOM

Swords clashed, battle cries were heard.

BA-BOOM

Their enemies fought.

BA-BOOM

They pushed back, fighting harder.

BA-BOOM

The last one evaporated.

BA-BOOM

Silence fell and the world stopped. Just for a second.

BA-BOOM

He slipped into the shadows and landed where the boy had fell

"Percy?" His voice was hoarse. No answer.

He reached a hand out and felt along Percy's wrist. There was a faint pulse. His life force was draining, slowly but it was much to fast for Nico.

There was no time. He could hear the others shouting out in the distance, to someone who would never reply.

No.

He couldn't die.

He felt Percy's life force. Mere seconds away from vanishing altogether.

"DAMMIT PERCY!"

He burst out suddenly and he brought his hand down onto Percy's chest, panicking.

Percy was dying.

In a desperate attempt to revive him, Nico kneeled down and placed both his hands over Percy's heart.

He pushed.

Up and down, up and down, up and down.

He didn't stop. He could feel something wet on his cheek. He wiped it away.

BA-BOOM

His breath became ragged as he continued. Words started falling from his mouth without his permission.

"DAMMIT PERCY! You were supposed to have a long life, you were supposed to marry Annabeth-" His voice cracked slightly, "Have a few kids with sea green eyes and curly blonde hair," He slowed his pace, "You can't die on me," he stumbled, his hands dropping to his sides as the exhaustion finally set in. His voice lowered to a whisper. "You can't die on me Percy, I never told you-I never told you," he swallowed, tears trailing down his face. "I never told you how I felt." He laughed bitterly. "I wasn't going to tell you. Annabeth and You," A choked sob, "well, you had a whole life ahead of you. You were happy. I kept away from camp, I couldn't-couldn't watch as you-" He cleared his throat," I was jealous, Percy. I didn't want to come between you and her. I escaped to the Underworld because I couldn't bear it. I'm a coward Percy."

He laughed again and it carried across the carnage.

He felt the world fade and he used two fingers to close Percy's empty sea green eyes.

"I loved you, Percy."

A/N; I really wanted some angst-y Dead Sea fics, but alas, I could not find many. So I wrote something. House of Hades gives me mixed feelings like ohmygods everyone was wonderful and my bABIES ILY OHMYGODS I REALLY NEEDED HOH AND I'M JUST HARDORE OTP-ING NICO AND PERCY RIGHT NOW. I'm a little upset about how many people make Nico out to be whiny or desperate so I tried to make

him like he was in House of Hades? Idk

He's grown up from the boy who was young in Battle of The Labyrinth. He's been through Tartarus alone. He's seen more horrors than anyone else on the Argo II most likely. I tried to portray that but I'm not sure how well I did, hmmm

WAS ANYONE ELSE UPSET ABOUT THE TARTARUS SCENES?

I really wanted Percy & Annabeth to be a bit more affected? Idk I understand it's a YA book but seriously, where are the severe nightmares or the whispered arguments between Annabeth and Percy who refuse to talk about what happened? WHERE IS THE SUPPORT FOR NICO WHEN THEY REALIZED HE WENT THROUGH THE SAME THING ALONE. sigh Idk Tartarus just didn't seem to horrible? I mean, yeah sure there's load of monsters but it didn't seem that bad? Idk just ignore me gah
