A/N: Hey y'all, this is my seventh story. Wow. I never thought I'd have this many stories. This one's about Raven who's my favorite cartoon character of all times. Seeing as how I'm not sure what the plot is exactly, I have no idea what's going to happen, so this ought to be fun.

Disclaimer: Yes! I can finally say that I now own Teen Titans! Wait, nevermind. - pulls out watch on a chain - You didn't see anything. Right?

"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are gray. You'll never know, dear, how much I love you. Please don't take my sunshine away." The beautiful lullaby fluttered in the Azarathian breeze. A young woman, seventeen maybe, slowly made her way through the gardens behind Temple Azarath. She had purple hair, and purple-blue eyes, wearing long white robes with a hood, and cradling a bundle of powder blue blankets in her within those blankets was a baby. A baby girl, to be exact.

The baby was much like her mother in appearance, except for her light gray skin and the red gemstone resting just above her eyebrows. The baby was only a few months old and anyone who didn't know who her father was would've thought it impossible the prophecy that was to be her future.

Arella, the mother, smiled as her daughter held onto her finger with two tiny hands and cooed at the lullaby. "I'll love you no matter what, Raven," She whispered, leaning down and kissing her forehead softly.

If Arella had known what was to come - if she had known about the life her daughter was to lead in the future - then maybe, just maybe, she wouldn't have been so frightened for her.

A/N: This is just a prologue so don't worry about the length. My dad used to sing "You Are My Sunshine" to me before bed when I was little and sometimes he'd pretend to have this Build-A-Bear dog we had to "sing" it. We still have that dog and five million other Build-A-Bear's (Yeah, I'm a stuffed animal junkie. Don't judge me!)
