There once was a boy who lived in the stars and a boy that lived in his dreams

The boy who lived in the stars had light blond hair and eyes that were as blue as the sky

The boy who lived in the stars was captivated by the boy who lived in his dreams

The boy who lived in his dreams had eyes were of molten gold and hair that glowed as if it was the sun brightening his world

How he wished he could just reach his hand down and hold that fascinating boy in his arms

But he could not, so he wrapped himself in the stars once more and waited for that boy that lived in his dreams to join him in the sky

The boy who lived in his dreams looked up,

He too

Was captivated by that strange boy, that lived in the stars

He watched him by the moon as he lay on the roof at night

He never let that boy out of his mind, nor his sight

They always walked side by side, but separated by a cruel reality

The boy who lived in his dreams was lost and the boy who lived in the stars was dying

The dreamer found his star by the look of his silhouette

It was that of his younger brother, about a year ago lost

He ran forward in a limp-like sprint crying his brother's name with a grin so joyful

But when the boy who was in the stars turned

The dreamer came to a halt, bowed his head down, and his once joyful smile turned into that of a devastated grimace

The boy with the blue eyes was not his brother, he was just like everyone else in this nightmarish dream of his: A copy of those he was close to in his reality

All was not lost for the boy who lived in the stars and the boy who lived in his dreams

They became roommates and very good friends who worked hard to touch the farthest planets

However, in time the boy who lived in his dreams was concerned for the boy in the stars

He was always sick, coughing while working on the rockets, coughing before bed, and coughing during errands

A few months past,

And the boy who lived in his dreams was not lost anymore

He was reunited with his younger brother

And awoke from his dream

Only slightly in time to dream once more

To find that the blue-eyed boy who lived in the stars was gone

The doppelganger of the boy who lived in the stars watched his brother silently

As he gathered lilies to take to the cemetery

Where the boy who lived in the stars eternally slept

He knew that his brother would never wake from his dreams

He took it upon himself to take the star-boy's place and watch the dreamer for him

The boy who lived in his dreams wept for his fallen friend alone

And he would wait for that time,

When he too, will stop dreaming, and join the boy in the stars
