With this Ring, I Thee Dread

Marty slowly walked down the aisle towards Miles Lawerence. It was the worst day of her life and the thought of marrying him made her skin crawl, but she had no other choice. If she didn't marry him then he would tell everybody that she had killed Spencer Truman and she would lose her son forever.

"I'm so happy," Miles said as he took her hand in his.

Marty nodded her head as she tried her best not to throw up. She placed his wedding ring on his hand as she vowed to be loyal to him in good times and in bad, knowing that they were lies. She was determined to leave him as soon as she could.

"Does anybody have any objections?" Reverend Andrew Carpenter asked.

"I object," John stated as he entered the chapel.

"John, please just go home. I have to marry Miles," Marty pleaded.

"You don't have to marry him Marty. He has no power over you. You didn't kill Truman, Lindsay did."

"Are you sure?" Marty asked. Her memories of the night that Spencer died was foggy and she still couldn't remember what had happened after she hit him on the head with the lamp.

"I'm positive, Lindsay just confessed."

"Come on Marty, don't listen to his lies. Let's get married," Miles stated as he tried to pull her into a kiss.

"Don't touch me," Marty stated as she pushed Miles away from her. "You've lost your power over me," she stated as she slapped him across the face. "Come on John, let's get out of here," Marty said as she took John's hand and walked out of the chapel.
