He comes back for Rose and he sees her in the midst of her friends, dancing to the music and kissing Malfoy, his hands where they shouldn't be, all over her body, and he feels sick. Lily's sitting down in a chair, Dom probably forced her to come and he asks the pretty redhead for a dance but she says no thank you and smiles into his violet eyes. He feels sorry for her because she loves Malfoy and he loves Rose, they make a deal to get together to make them jealous and split them up but it becomes serious soon because he's kissing her like the world is ending in empty classrooms and she's wondering why she never noticed him before with his tanned skin and sandy hair and gorgeous eyes because if he's Lysander, Rose is Hermia, Malfoy's Demetrius and Lily's Helena and so Lysander and Helena are nothing, just a fling because Puck messed up with the flower juice. She wants to tell him that she'll always love him and she's still telling him without words because they don't need words and if he's not listening it's better off that way because they don't need true love and she doesn't need him holding her like she's glass they just need someone to take out all their anger and pain out on they shouldn't even exist and she's so fearful and he's scared, until Rose and Malfoy break up and they do too and they finally get what they want, or do they because Lily yells but she doesn't really care when she finds Malfoy with his hands all over some blonde and Lysander should follow Rose when she makes those excuses about having an interview the only thing Lysander needs is Lily and she needs him because they're dying without each other even though Shakespeare forgot to record that part, but he's damn right that this is some kind of delirious dream they're having with his fingers slipping down her waist, groaning as she kisses him back and he whispers to her without words that he loves her and she whispers back equally as silently and then they wake up in his bedroom with the sunlight shedding light on their entwined bodies and waking up with each other because they can't live, can't breathe outside of this dream.
