As wizarding parties went, this was about as muggle as it was going to get. Witches and wizards alike, all getting drunk and dizzy from the normal muggle liquor that had been consumed. Music pulsated throughout the house, some dancing in groups, swaying on each other in the most raunchy way possible. Smoke and dirt drifted through the air, cigarettes and blunts being burned in supposedly innocent children's mouths. Laugher, screaming, gossip, all could be heard through one end to another of this tiny house. Yes, this truly was a party.

Ember was in the kitchen at the time. She was no stranger to these things, as she used to host some as well. She was pouring herself a drink. It was just normal rum and coke, a favorite of hers, when she felt a tap on her shoulder. Ember spun around to be greeted with the faces of Harry, Hermione and her cousin, Ron. Ember smiled at them. "So you came!" She cheered her glass to them. Hermione looked the most uneasy out of the three. Ember frowned.

"Oh my word. You need to really lighten up if you want to blend in. Have you never been to one of these before?" She asked. All three of them looked around. She could tell the answer was no.

"Fine. Here. This will help. And flavor you prefer?" She asked. The three looked confused. Ember sighed. "You do you prefer sweet or hoppy?"

"Sweet." Ron replied. "Sweet?" Harry questioned, but Ember took that as his preference. Hermione just shifted. Ember turned back to the counter and started to fix up some shots for them. She decided to go with hazelnut liquor, a dash of sugar and some vodka. She couldn't help but smile at the rainbow of flavor that these muggles made. She strained the mixture into the shot glasses and passed them to the three, and then grabbed the last on for herself. She raised up hers. "Ok, do you know how to take these?" She questioned. Harry was sniffing his while Hermione and Ron just started at theirs. "It smells yummy!" He exclaimed. Ember smirked. "Yea… yummy."

"Ok so what you do is when I say three, you glup this shit with your head titled back, as fast as you can." She said. "But why, don't we want to be able to taste it? Is this actually alcohol?" Hermione asked, finally smelling hers. "Yes it is. And no you don't." Ember replied.

"But why?" She asked. "I'm not so sure about this…" Hermione said.

"Listen. This is strictly for investigation, but people will start to think things if you aren't drinking at least a little bit." Ember huffed. Ron and Harry agreed. "Come on, it won't be so bad." Ron said. Hermione looked uneasy, but said, "Alright."

"Ok, ready guys? One… two… three!" Ember shouted and threw back her head and took the shot like champ. She lowered her head back to the three and watched the three of them struggle. Harry ran over to the sink and spat his out. Hermione gagged and coughed when she had finished gulping hers. Ron finished his and just made a face. "Not… bad…" He squeaked. Ember smacked him on the back of the shoulder. "Ah, I knew my cousin would be a champ. It runs in the family." She smiled.

"It does?" He asked.

"Yea! I've seen your brothers at parties like these all the time. Even seen Ginny a couple times too. She almost out drank me once! Almost…" She grumbled.

"What? How come I never knew about this?" Ron questioned.

"Cause… well, you were doing your own things, I guess." Ember shrugged. Harry returned from his sink, some drool still on his lip. "That was horrid."

Ember laughed. "Here. I'll make you a mixed drink. Do you like coke or sprite better?" She asked.
"Sprite." Harry muttered. Ron said coke while Hermione was still gagging from the shot. Ember made their drinks of just vodka or rum, and handed it to them. "Now go mingle a bit and see if you can get any info." She said. Ron started to sip on his drink. "This is pretty good!" Ember smiled. "Now I gotta go find Malfoy. Good luck!" She said, and the four disbanded.
