Jenny yawned, stretching she looked out the window. Today's the day. I gotta pick Snivy, before Hugh comes along. Jenny leapt out of bed, and quickly got changed, grabbed her packed backpack.
Rushing down the stairs, she quickly said bye to her mom and went out the door. Jenny ran into the pokemon lab, and saw Hugh was already there. "I see you slept in again, Jenny" Hugh tossed his pokeball into the air.
"The starter I wanted was already taken so," Hugh showed his pokemon to Jenny. "I chose Snivy" Hugh pointed his pokeball at Snivy, returning it into it's pokeball.
"So, you're stuck with Oshawott, good luck" Hugh walked out of the lab, Jenny looked at Oshawott. Eye to eye, Jenny saw the firey passion, strength, courage, sturdiness within the Oshawott.
"Blade. Your nickname is Blade" Jenny picked up Blade. Blade's little pinkish nose nudged Jenny. Forever, Jenny, forever I will serve you. Blade hugged her.
Jenny and Blade left the lab, Hugh stood outside. "Since we have pokemon now, let's battle!". Jenny gulped, Blade turned to Jenny to see her reaction. Blade held up his little hand, smiling excitedly.
Jenny looked at Blade, and nodded. "Sure, let's battle."
"For once you wanna do something other than turn away"
Hugh and Jenny sent out their pokemon. "Snivy, use tackle!" Snivy leapt forwards swiftfully, Blade backflipped, then rolled to the left, dodging Snivy's tackle.
"Blade, use water gun" Blade turned towards Snivy, out of the blink of the eye, Snivy was shoot by a water gun in the face.
"Blade, tail whip, 3 times" Blade nodded, lowering Snivy's defense 3 times, Hugh whipped his hand from the left to the right. "Snivy, vine whip!" Snivy came closer and whipped Blade.
"Blade, you okay? I-If you are use tackle" Blade stood back up, and ran towards Snivy, Snivy leapt, Blade leapt and used tackle.
"Finish it, Blade, use Tackle!" A wide grin appeared on Jenny's face. Blade smiled as well, and tackled Snivy again.
"Oh no, Snivy, you did great" Hugh looked at his Snivy, fainted. "Well good battle, I guess...Um I'll see you again, bye" Hugh went off.
Jenny smiled at Blade, Blade smiled back. "you know what Blade, I'm happy I was forced to choose you after all." And scooped up Blade.
Jenny walked towards the first route, on her way out of Aspertia City. Blade followed closely as the two of their bonds grew. Jenny quickly hurried over to the next town, that happened to be close by: Floccesy Town.
"Blade, you excitied we got to start a journey?" Jenny turned around to see his reaction. Blade smiled happily. Yeah, I'm liking this journey so far, 'cause I'm with a strong trainer, I feel sorry now that I judged her before I was chosen.
Blade scratched his head. The two of them entered Floccesy Town, hearing a voice from above, but the voice was screaming coming closer and closer towards them.
Blade looked up, noticing a man falling from the sky. I guess I'll do something...Blade said to himself, then pulled out his shell-like blade. Using razor shell, he barely tried to catch the man with his razor shell that was turned to the side.
"Ugh. Benga, you're becoming strong, but you've gotta watch out for other people, you can't just knock one off the edge of a cliff."
Benga yelled back, "So what, grandpa Alder! I can battle anyway I want!". Blade turned to glance at Jenny. She seemed to know what or who this was, plus who's 'Alder'? Blade didn't get why she was just standing there.
