Ship: Molly/Arthur
Word: Madness

Molly Prewett never thought in a million years that she would fall for him – Arthur Weasley. She honestly doesn't understand it, and she doesn't think she ever will.

The boys she usually fancies are the Quidditch playing, perfect smiled types. Upon closer inspection, they all seem to be complete gits, too. So, naturally, when she realizes she fancies Arthur Weasley, she thinks she has stumbled upon a universe where madness prevails.

Okay, so maybe she's being a little over-dramatic.

But Arthur is the complete polar opposite of the ones she usually fancies. He's shy, a little on the clumsy side, and has an odd obsession with all things Muggle. He's also smart. She almost forgot how nice it is to have a conversation with a guy where Quidditch is not the main topic. Actually, it's like a breath of fresh air. She does enough talking about Quidditch with her younger twin brothers, Fabian and Gideon. Well, when she's not yelling at them for misbehaving…

Even though Arthur has a tendency to ramble on about the absolutely fascinating (to him, at least) things Muggles have invented, she doesn't have the heart to stop him. He gets so animated – his eyes widen and he starts making wild hand gestures. The look in his eyes says it all – Arthur Weasley can be passionate about the things he loves.

Molly mentally sighs and wishes that he could be just as passionate when he talks about her. But little does she know that he does, in fact, talk about her like that. If she did know, she would be over the moon and she most certainly would never make that ridiculous love potion.

There is a saying that "people do crazy things when they're in love", and that perfectly applies to Molly.

And now when she sees those perfect smiles with no flaws, she thinks they're superficial. She wouldn't dare admit it to anyone, but she'd rather see Arthur's crooked smile over those perfectly perfect smiles any day.

Now that she's really thought about it, she doesn't really mind that she has stumbled upon a universe where madness prevails. She might actually go as far as to say that she enjoys it.

Although the births of each of her children were important to her, Molly never thought she would have a little girl. As soon as she laid her eyes on her, she knew little Ginny Weasley was special. Besides the fact that she was the first Weasley girl born in seven generations, Molly had a gut feeling that her little girl would go places.

The look on Arthur's face when he held his little girl for the first time made Molly fall in love with him even more.

Most would consider having seven children madness. Molly, on the other hand, considered it as having more people to love. She didn't care that they didn't have a lot of money; she didn't marry Arthur for his money. You can't buy love and happiness, no matter what people say.

As she gazes upon her family with little Ginerva Molly Weasley sleeping peacefully in her arms, she realizes that with these dark times where madness does indeed prevail, all she needs is Arthur's love and the love of her family. They'll manage just fine.
