Disclaimer: I do not own these characters: Jamie Sullivan and Landon Carter. This is going to be a very short chapter since it going to be the end.
Chapter Four: Secrets are upon us
Jamie told her father what Landon said after he left. Jamie thought he might start to throw things around the room, but instead he said, "Landon is a good kid. He is in love with you, I can see it. Do whatever you wish for you have my blessing."
That night, Jamie sat in her bed thinking. She loves him, but he won't get to be with her forever. Is that what he really wants, to marry her and then see her die?
The next morning Landon came over again. Jamie knew she had to ask, before he asked her. She never really did answer his question though it wasn't really a question, but she never said anything so he is going to ask. Landon walked in the door to Jamie's room, and when he closed the door she said, "You won't get to be with me forever, is that what you want? Do you want to marry me and have me die on you?"
Landon sat next to Jamie who was still lying in bed. He pushed a hair away from her eyes and said, "I just want to be with you, for however long I can. Will you marry me?"
"Yes. I will."
The wedding took place on a Friday, in the chapel that Jamie's mother and father got married. Everyone in town was there even Landon's old friends. Jamie and Landon said their vows to one another making everyone cry even her own father. It was a beautiful day for Jamie and it was an even more beautiful day for Landon getting to see her even more breath taking than usual.
Jamie died two months after they married, and to Landon those where the most wonderful two months in the world. To him, Jamie would never die for she is always with him in his mind and spirit. To Landon in the end love will always conquer the rest of the world.
